PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
15.03.2022 – 16.02.2023
Responsible for all the process-related activities of the Finishing house and the Electrical maintenance of the
same and handling a team of 60 people including 3 Engineers and 1 Senior Engineer.
Responsibilities:
1. Manpower Management.
2. The stock issue, keeping, control, Consumption.
3. Sizes as per order.
4. Quality control.
5. Packing of the goods.
6. Material Transfer to the Warehouse.
7. Electrical maintenance includes scheduled maintenance, preventive maintenance, breakdown, etc
8. Maintaining reports like B -Grade reports, Daily packing reports, Downtime, overtime, and Delivery
report
9. Internal Issues handling.
Achievements:
I have worked on some projects like
1. Worked on the Sandwich wrapper and core pipe consumption (packing material)resulting in 5
lakh/ month savings.
Reel Wrapping Machine was designed for the 3-4 rounds of wrapper for Reel packing. With the help
of my team, we took some steps towards it like increasing the GSM, and have done some little
modifications in the machine as per our requirement resulting in huge savings.
2. Introducing Automation in the Reel Wrapping machine which is capable of packing 50 Reels/ Hour
After automation, we are packing 55 Reels / Hour with 3 fewer manpower.
3. Proper Standardisation and marking of the stock area with the daily consumption boards for a
smooth process.
4. Selected for the Indian Warehouse Show.
I worked in 3 different locations in the same plants, Paper machine 4, Paper machine 5, and the De-Inking
plant
Responsibilities:
1. Electrical maintenance of Power Transformers, HT/LT breakers, HT/LT induction motors,
DC motors (DOL & Star/Delta), Switchgears Protection
2. Electrical maintenance jobs of Paper machine, Drinking Plants, Colour Kitchen ETP &
Troubleshooting the system.
3. Preparing, Overtime and downtime reports, Section wise Power reports, and controlling
the same within targets.
Achievements:
I have worked on some projects like
1. Energy audits
I was part of the Energy Conservation team where we do the energy audits of different plants and
work on power savings.
2. Centralized spare management
Created a list of electrical spares(Motors, Breakers, MCB, Controllers) of different plants and shared
it on Google sheets So that people can use it anywhere in the plant during urgency
Note - Before this, they had a telephone conversation regarding this.
3. Light motion Sensor Installation -
We installed the Motion sensor lights for the MCC Rooms, PCC Rooms, some areas near machines,
and some of the offices resulting in Power savings.
4. I was Selected for the CII event held in Chennai.
We learned about the overall process of paper-making different machines, their working usage and
the maintenance part. Presented different presentations to the Mentor on the topics assigned by
them.
INTERNSHIPS,
Under NHPC I got the opportunity to learn at Parbati Hydroelectric Project (Stage II). It is a run-of-the-
river scheme proposed to harness the hydro potential of the lower reaches of the river Parbati. The river is
proposed to be diverted with a Concrete Gravity Dam at Village Pulga in Parvati valley through a 31.52 Km
long Head Race Tunnel and the Power House shall be located at village Suind in Sainj valley. Thus the gross
head of 863 m between Pulga and Sound will be utilized for generating 800MW 4 x 200 MW power. The
project cost was around 3919 Crores December 2001 price level)
Learning Experience
We learned about the different Machines and got the opportunity to see the substations, Different types of
transformers(Step Up, Step down ), Transmission lines, Penstock, and Turbines(Pelton). We learned about
the basic layout of power generation and distribution.
UNDERGRADUATE PROJECT
· Contribution – I was responsible for arranging and connecting all the parts(Aurdino, Water
sensor, LEDs, resistor, buzzer, and connecting wires) of the project.
· Methodology – The circuit is designed to indicate three levels of water stored in the tank: low
but not empty, half and full but not overflowing. When there is no water in the tank, all the
LEDs are off as an indication that the tank is completely empty. When the water level increases
and touches the sensor, the Red LED will glow indicating that there is water within the tank. As
the water level continues to rise and reaches half the tank, Yellow LED will glow. When the
water in the tank rises to full an alarm is made by the buzzer as an indication that the tank is
full.
After many attempts, we are able to make it function properly. We faced a problem with the
programming of the Aurdino as both of us come from the electrical department. Some we
conquer all the problems and result in the perfect working model
Electronic water level circuits can alert if there is a water leak somewhere in the factory. When the
water level is too high or too low or exceeds the higher limit, it can detect the water level easily
by hearing an alarm sound or from different colors of a light bulb. We can also measure the fuel
level in motor vehicles and the liquid level containers which are huge in the companies.
Major project
Water Level Indicator SMS alert
We build a Water Level Controller that monitors the level of the overhead tank by constructing a circuit
that will notify the user via SMS if the water supply to an area/home is initiated and indicate how high
the water has risen when it reaches too high or too low.
Methodology –
This project monitors the water levels, while it’s rising it will show the time when the water is
beginning to fill the tank and reach maximum volume. The average water flow speed is in liters per
minute and the total water in your tank is in liters. The circuit consists of a water flow sensor
known as the Hall Effect Water Flow Meter (YF-S201), an Arduino board which is the brains of the
project, a Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM module), a SIM 800 or SIM 900 for
receiving SMS alerts on water supply, and a real-time clock module for tracking the correct time for
water supply initiation and termination of water supply. Nine Volts of energy is desirable for
powering the Arduino board and the GSM module, it is recommended to provide the power supply
from nine-volt adapters or a well-built homemade transformer-based (LM 7809) supply. After a
minute of powering the circuit ON, you will get an SMS saying that the system is ready. When the
water starts flowing through the sensor, the system will notify the user in time. After the water
supply is terminated the system will send another alert and summarise the session with time,
average water flow, and total water delivered to your tank. At the time of water arrival, the water
must free flow, meaning if there is any block or tap which is closed it will not notify you.
Result -
We faced some problems that are being faced by our mentor and we successfully completed the project
In this, I got the opportunity to visit the World class facilities and learn the modern techniques
and best manufacturing practices in the Indian industry. We visited plants like Renault Nissan Automotive
INDIA Pvt Ltd, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd, and Hyundai Motor INDIA Ltd
Here we got to know about the various new techniques and the many things that are different from
our plant. We also implemented a few of them like the dodge bag, Wooden wedges. Also invited
some vendors to our plant to see the possibilities of implementation.
Here I got the opportunity to present my Idea to the startup India tea
