Objectives/Outcomes:
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to
recognize/ pronounce correctly the letters of the
alphabet in English.

What key knowledge & skills will students acquire as a result of this lesson?
Students will know: Students will be able to (SWBAT):
● All the correct pronunciation of the letters ● Spell their names/ last names
of the alphabet.
● Pronounce correctly all the letters of the alphabet.
● How to spell (using letters of the alphabet
in English)

Stage 2: Determine acceptable evidence


What evidence will show that students understand?
By the end of the class, students will pronounce correctly all the letters of the alphabet in
order to spell their own and someone else names and last names in English.

Activities
SUGGESTED LESSON ORGANIZATION

WARM-UP ACTIVITY: Students will recognize all the letters of the alphabet in Spanish to write
down on the board. So, I ask them to write it on the board. Students will write all the letters of the
alphabet in order to remember the correct order.

TEACHER LESSON (I do): The teacher (I) will create a lot of pieces of color papers to the correct
pronunciation of each letter of the alphabet, and I’ll ask students to stick it one by one and

pronounce it correctly. I’ll say that everybody repeats the pronunciation out loud.

STUDENT ACTIVITY (We do): Students will have a piece of paper with all the alphabet in English
and they will have to complete under each letter the pronunciation. So, students will write down
the pronunciation of the letters of the alphabet.

STUDENT ACTIVITY (You do together): In pairs, students will practice all the pronunciation of the
alphabet in real context of asking and answer “How do you spell that?” in order to practice the
alphabet with real information.

STUDENT ASSESSMENT ACTIVITY (You do alone): Students will ask to spell to others member
of their family or friends their personal information to practice correct pronunciation of the letters of
the alphabet. Next class, I will ask them about this assignment.
