Refer to Figure 1. Turn off all power to the computer unit.
Loosen fasteners and remove the inspection cover at the
top of the dash.

Refer to Figure 2. Reaching through the opening and


behind the display, remove the two mounting screws in the
upper part of the display. Then, disconnect the cable
connector at the rear of the display. Remove the RCI 500
display for return to Greer Company.

P065602 molded flange (thin side down) and insert the
RCI 510 display into the dash.

original display cable into the

1. Turn off all power to the computer unit. Loosen mounting bracket knobs on the RCI 500 display.
Remove the display cable connector at the rear of the RCI 500 display. Remove the display for return
to Greer Company.

2. Remove the attaching bolts holding the mounting bracket to the dash of the unit. Remove the existing
mounting bracket and replace with the RCI 510 mounting bracket.

3. Install the knobs onto the studs on the RCI 510 display and insert the display into the bracket. Tighten
the knobs to retain the display.

4. Refer to Figure. 5 below. Reconnect the original display cable into the receptacle on the rear of the
RCI 510 display and tighten the nut.

1. Refer to Figure. 6. Loosen and remove the four screws at
the corners of the computer box while carefully supporting
the lid of the box to keep it from falling and damaging
components on the top computer board.

2. Lift the lid from the box and put lid away for reinstallation.

3. Refer to Figure. 7. Locate the system chips on the


computer board.
Note: The chip labels shown are samples only and model
dependent.
4. Using the proper chip remover (not a screwdriver), remove
the Duty and Program Chips and replace with the new
chips supplied with the kit.

1. Refer to Figure. 8. Before seating the chip, make sure that the notch on the chip is pointed in the
proper direction.

2. Replace the lid on computer box and carefully tighten the screws, rotating from the corner to
assure the cover is tightened uniformly.

1. Start unit and wait for computer startup instruction screen. Follow instructions on screen to
proceed to main setup screen.

2. Refer to Figure 9. The set button will immediately illuminate and the audio alarm will sound. The
screen for the operator alarms will appear as shown.

3. Refer to the operator’s manual (pages. 26-31) for instructions on canceling and resetting opera-
tor alarms as needed.

4. Refer to Figure 10. This Figure shows what the alarms look like when improperly set. Push the
set button and turn the alarms off one at a time until all operator alarms are off.
