INTRODUCTION

The return logistics process, as a transversal process of the companies, becomes one of

the most important activities for social and eco-environmental responsibility, since through it

solid waste management is established, trying to contribute significantly to the fulfillment of

the Sustainable Development Goals established by the ONU.

It is important to know each of the waste that a company can handle and thereby

determine the appropriate collection, stockpiling and final disposal processes, in compliance

with current regulations and in accordance with the objectives of each organization.

Hence the importance of professional training in the logistics area, learning every detail

of return logistics, recognizing the importance of proper management of solid waste as a

social and environmental responsibility and as another source of income for the company.

OBJECTIVES:

GENERAL:

Analyze the comprehensive solid waste plan of a chain store in Colombia, in order to

recognize the process from practice.

SPECIFICS:

 Recognize solid waste, its characteristics and its classification.

 Know the forms of reuse of solid waste.

 Establish the responsibilities of workers with the proper management of solid waste.
