About the Reservist

Who is a Reservist?
1. COMMISSIONED Officers under Circular 30 s-87, Procurement and
appointment of Reserve Officer.
2. Circular 6, Commissioning of Elected Government Officials and Presidential
Appointees in the Reserve Force, AFP.
3. Graduates of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) basic and Advance
courses that were issued orders as enlisted or officer reservists of the AFP.
4. Graduates of authorized basic military training/instructions, that as a result
thereof, were issued orders as reservists of the AFP.
5. Ex-servicemen of the AFP who were honorably discharged or retired from the
service and who are Filipino citizens.
6. Commissioned officers and enlisted personnel under the affiliated Reserve
category and civilian graduates of the National Defense College of the
Philippines (NDCP) who were commissioned in the AFP.
7. Commissioned officers and enlisted personnel under existing laws including
those procured under Project 36-70 and those to be commissioned or enlisted in
the reserve force under the enactment of the said act.

Requirements for the Processing of Incorporation in the Reserve Force:
a. Photo copy of retirement order
b. 2 x 2 picture two (2) pieces
c. Security Clearance susch as :
(1) NBI Clearance (1) Original and two (2) photo copies
(2) Police Clearance (1) Original and two (2) Photo copies
(3) Barangay Clearance (1) Original and two (2) photo copies
Qualified to be Commissioned as Reserve Officer in the Reserve Force, AFP
a. Elected government officials & Presidential Appointees (Cirular Nr 6, GHQ,
AFP s-2003)
b. Degree Holder who are graduates of Basic ROTC (Cir 30 2-1987)
c. Key and Technical personnel of Affiliated Reserve Units (Cir 30 s-1987)
(PAARU)
d. Deserving Non-Commissioned Officers (NCO) (Cir 19 GHQ, AFP S-2000)
e. Graduates of Masters in National Security Administration (Cir 30 s-1987)
Requirements for Commission as Reservist Officer in the Philippine Army

3. Full Body picture (passport size)
4. Certificate of Live Birth (Local Civil Registrar/NSO)
5. Certificate of Employment
6. College Diploma / TOR (no need to be auntenticated)
7. ROTC Diploma (Basic/Advance)
8. AFP Aptitude Test battery (AFPTAB)
9. POTC Certificate, Declaration of Graduates and Order of Merit
10. Security Clearances (GHQ/Maj Svc , Local: NBI & Mayor's Clearance)
11. Physical Examination Report (AFP Station/Government Hospital Authorized
to conduct)
B. For Technical Service
1. Application Form
2. Affidavit of no pending case
3. Bio-data/Curriculum Vitae
4. Full Body picture (post Card size)
5. Certificate of Live Birth (Local Civil Registrar/NSO)
6. Certificate of Employment
7. PRC License with Board Certificate
8. College Diploma/TOR (No need to be authenticated)
9. Security Clearances (GHQ, Maj Svc )
Requirements for Promotion of Reservist Officer
a. Summary of Information (SOI)
b. Appointment & Latest Promotion Order
c. Officer Evaluation Report & Commander's Evaluaton Report
d. Order of Reserve Unit Assignment
e. AADT/CAD Filler/Declaration of Graduates
f. Physical Examination Report in any AFP Hospital/Government Hospital .
Report of Medical History, Report of Medical Examination and Dental Record
(Original Copy)
g. Command Clearance Certificate:( Requirements: PHS, Bgy & Mayor , Police,
MTC & NBI clearances, and PBI (Original copy)
h. Certificate of Active Participation in Local Government Projects/ACtivities.
i. Military Career Course (Military Schooling on Basic/Advance Course and
Authority with General Orders (GO) and Diploma)
j. Certificate of Employment (Government or Self Employed)
k. Awards and Decorations (If any)
l. Post Card size picture (in uniform without cap)
NOTE: For LTC to COL - must be in seven (7) copies; for 2LT to MAJOR -
should be in 2 copies; and one (1) separate folder for G2 Clearance . TIN is
necessary. Prepare the documents wit proper tabbing, arranged neatly and
correctly and compiled in an Army green morocco folder.
