So there has to be a considered debate about the rules and requirements

governing all forms of robot devices, not a panic reaction when matters have
gone too far, which is how bad law is made.

And yet the beneficial possibilities of robotics are obvious and many. It cannot
be beyond the wit of mankind to harvest those benefits and guard against what
the scare-stories and anxieties suggest. For we also have to guard against
frightening ourselves away from beneficial developments by taking negative
scenarios as the main prompt of our actions
