Modular Construction 3,000 t

modular construction offers quality, safety and shorter, guaranteed delivery schedules for
large projects. With more than 30 years experience in the fabrication of modules, we are
well placed to partner with epc players for complex onshore modules and to increase our
involvement in upstream offshore modular modifications.

PROJECT // Q13A-A / BelgIUM

The pre-fabrication at the hoboken Module Yard of the 1850 tonnes topside for GdF SUEZ E&P Nederland’s Q13a-A well protector platform demonstrates
the value of modular construction for offshore upstream projects. in addition to the fabrication of the 2 modules (power and living quarters), Cofely
Fabricom also was responsible for incorporating the related piping, electrical, instrumentation, insulation, hVAC, architectural and coating works and
was involved in the load-out and sea fastening.

PROJECT // TeCHnICAl HIgH-end MOdUleS / CAnAdA

Our recently opened Canadian subsidiary has its place of business
in Calgary and operations in Edmonton. Building on our expertise
in Europe, the business unit optimizes, fabricates and assembles
innovative solutions to meet the demands of the expanding oil
sands and energy markets. The current generation modules we
deliver for onshore plants feature as much as 95% of all steel and
piping, 85% of the electrical and 95% of the total instrumentation
works, with cabling, writing and testing operations carried out in the
module yard. 90% of field hours is relocated to the module yard,
allowing a “Plug & Play” philosophy with only the final loop check
to be performed onsite.

> pressurised storage systems instrumentation and electrical installations. Apart from demonstrating our safety capability with a record
of 225,000 safe working man-hours, this project confirms the capacity of Cofely Fabricom to organize,
manage and deliver a large project on time, within the required specification and within budget.

Induction Bending
Our induction bends are renowned throughout the world. from plain carbon steel to highly
sophisticated alloy steel, our induction bends meet the strict requirements of corrosion
resistance and superior metal hardness set by the industry.

PROJECT // BP/STATOIl / CenTrAl ASIA

The bending workshop has commenced production of no less than 327 induction-bends of 1 to 1.2 m in diameter. They are to be used in a 691 km-
long gas pipeline starting at the Caspian sea and running across Azerbaijan and Georgia to connect with another gas pipeline crossing Turkey and
Greece. The customer is a joint venture involving BP (technical operation), Statoil (commercial operation) and others. This is one of the biggest orders
for the bending department in recent years.
