Front of the Class is a documentary about a teacher named Bradley Cohen who suffers from Tourette's

syndrome, a neurological illness. Brad, as he is known, has had Tourette's syndrome since he was six
years old. Tourette's syndrome was not well-known at the time. Brad is a lively child who enjoys
attracting attention. Brad is frequently reprimanded by the teacher and even dismissed from class
because his odd sounds and motions are thought to disrupt the concentration of other pupils during
class. Brad is a highly qualified student. Although Tourette's syndrome makes it difficult for him to
concentrate, he can follow the lesson well. He did, however, study harder than the other pupils in order
to stay up with the rest of the class. Brad has also made a name for himself in the sport of baseball. Brad
enjoys the sport since he isn't humiliated when he makes unusual sounds and movements
unintentionally during the game. During a baseball game, all of the players make strange noises and
engage in amusing conduct.

Brad's Tourette syndrome is getting worse because he doesn't have a supportive father or a nice
educational environment. Brad's father believes he is a youngster who cannot be managed. Brad has
been expelled from several schools owing to his Tourette's syndrome. Brad's parents eventually split
due to his father's embarrassment and inability to tolerate Brad's actions. When Brad is upset, panicked,
or depressed, his Tourette's syndrome symptoms will worsen. Despite the fact that Tourette's syndrome
cannot be treated, Brad's mother continues to encourage and urge him to stay positive and not give in
to his disease. Until one day, Brad discovered a school that was willing to overlook his deficiencies. Brad
was able to eliminate unusual sounds and movements because to his mother's assistance and the school
atmosphere. Brad was inspired to become a teacher after that.

Brad eventually acquired a teaching degree after graduating from Illinois Georgia. He even received a
letter praising him as a wonderful teacher. He applied to dozens of schools to become a teacher, but
none of them were ready to overlook his flaws. Many schools believe that the deficiency – Tourette's
syndrome – will make teaching and learning difficult. Brad was refused dozens of times, but he persisted
and did not give up. Until one day, Brad was finally accepted into an elementary school to teach second
grade. Brad's teaching style is one-of-a-kind. Brad always makes the subject matter entertaining and
encourages students to ask questions. When teaching geography, for example, he first taught about
Maxine, a giant red vehicle that traveled the world. Brad then displayed a large map and pointed to the
incorrect place, after which his students defended their response by pointing to the correct area. Brad
also brought Maxine to school so that his students could see and ride in the huge red truck firsthand.
Brad was also successful in teaching Thomas, a student with learning difficulties. Brad was elected
Instructor of the Year as a result of his efforts and hard work, and he quickly became a favorite teacher
among his students.
