News from college

Dear Lorna,
Hi! How are you? I hope everything's OK. Things are not too bad here. Vermont is beautiful and I
really like the college. Classes started three weeks ago and I'm quite busy. My major is very
interesting but quite hard. I attend classes from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day. It's a good thing I'm
staying in a dormitory, because they're right next to the library. I usually go there in the evenings
when I want to study.
I was a bit shy when I first came here because I didn't know anybody. But the students here are all
very friendly, so I now have lots of friends. Some of them are studying languages, like me.
I especially like a girl named Suzy. She's very smart and funny.
Last weekend Suzy invited me to her brother's party. At first I didn't want to go, but in the end I did
and I had a great time! There were lots of people there and we danced all night long.
Why don’t you come visit me next weekend? Send me an e-mail and let me know.
Take care,
Michaela
