FRITZ: Are these presents for us?

MOTHER: Now Fritz, don’t be rude. Besides, you have to wait until Christmas morning to open
your presents.

FRITZ: Can we open just one mother, please?

MOTHER: What do you think dear?

FATHER: They can open just one.

HERR DROSSELMEYER: Here you are…

[As crianças abrem o presente]

NUTCRACKER: Your kindness has freed me from the Mouse King’s evil spell.

CLARA: Mouse King? Should I be worried, my dear friend?

NUTCRACKER: No, you don’t have to be worried, my soldiers will protect you.

[O Mouse King entra em cena]

MOUSE KING: Well, well, well…This girl has broken my spell and robbed me of my revenge.

NUTCRACKER: You won’t get anything here Mouse King.

MOUSE KING: Now as a punishment I shall kill this Nutcracker Prince and take this little girl back
to our lair.

NUTCRACKER: While there is breath in my body you shall not touch her.

MOUSE KING: We will see about that!

[Enquanto a música acontece, os soldadinhos lutam gentilmente com os ratinhos, eles saltam por
cima uns dos outros. Os ratos jogam queijo nos soldadinhos]

[Quando parece que o Mouse King vai ganhar a luta, Clara o ataca com seu sapatinho, os ratos
levem o Mouse King embora]

NUTCRACKER: Thank you Clara, you saved me again.

CLARA: Oh my dear Nutcracker, I couldn’t let him hurt you.

NUTCRACKER: I don’t know how I can ever repay you…

TOY SOLDIER 1: My prince… sir, we have an idea.

TOY SOLDIER 2: What if you took Clara to visit our kingdom?

I am the Sugar Plum fairy.

BUTTERCUP FAIRY: I’m Buttercup Fairy.

PEACH GLOW: And I am Peach Glow.

BLUEBELL FAIRY: Bluebell, pleased to meet you, my dear girl.

SUGARPLUM FAIRY: I am so grateful to you Clara for returning my Prince to me. Come, we must
