One more journey by Javier Eduardo Baiza.

One more journey tells the story of a brave and powerful woman who was the
captain of a pirate ship named Shi Yang. The events of her story take place around
the 19th century, Shi Yang stood out for her strength and combat skills, but becoming
a great warrior of the seas was not an easy goal due to the prejudices of the time,
and would never have allowed her to do such a risky and difficult job for women, it
wasn't until the famous pirate Zheng Yi helped her change her destiny.

After allying with the pirate's crew she began her long journey to become the most
respected warrior in the oceans. For 10 years she worked hard to achieve her dream
by obtaining as a reward the leadership of the confederation of pirates. After a life full
of adventures, Shi Yang became a loving mother who decided to give her three
children a quiet life. Living in a quiet village, he was engaged in fishing and selling
seafood in the market. One common day, a seller aroused the curiosity of Captain
Shi Yang as he carried some strange animals that she had never seen. An animal in
particular that seemed very strange was a species of a large tailless mouse with dark
fur, the captain was interested in the fact that the animal seemed depressed and
tired.

Seeing this situation, Shi Yang decided to help the little mouse return home so that
he could be free. After having bought the rodent and taken him home she feed him
and gave him enough water, having recovered, the little animal began to trust Shi
yang, but she could notice that it did not feel right and always looked in the direction
of the sea hoping that her new friend understood that he missed his home, as a sign
of confidence the little mouse wrote his with its paws in the sand his name. " Cotu"
Determined to give him a chance to return home, Shi Yang set out to travel across
the ocean to find the place he missed. She rebuilt her fishing boat and prepared to
leave for a new adventure.

With a melancholic farewell from home, remembering the beautiful life she built for
her children who are now adults, once again lifted the sails of the boat towards
unknown lands. After a few weeks of travel, the captain and Cotu were very
enthusiastic about the trip, accompanied by sea creatures, and most of the tour was
peaceful and pleasant. However, for the years in which she passed out of the sea no
longer had the same knowledge of how many pirates roamed the ocean, so she felt
insecure and decided to watch for any danger as time passed, the environment off
the coast was becoming more disturbing due the possible presence of pirates.
After many nights of surveillance, Shi Yang can no longer resist falling asleep,
causing her boat to head to pirate-dominated areas. After being awakened by some
pirates, they decide to steal the captain’s supplies, so she fights to retrieve them and
protect Cotu. The small Cotu was surprised by the captain’s fighting skills, after a
hard battle the pirates recognize the legendary pirate, so they decide to withdraw
from the attack. Captain Shi-yang is badly injured, and Cotu attempts to protect her
by sharing the few provisions left on the boat. Cotu was convinced to help his
companion heal and finish the journey she wanted.

After a long journey Captain Shi-yang with her last forces managed to reach the land
of Cotu fulfilling the promise to take him home. Even though little Cotu was already
home, he didn’t want to be separated from his traveling companion. Cotu jumped
from the boat and ran across the beach. The captain remembered her adventures in
the sea and how much she missed the ocean. The captain was rescued by a group
of people following Cotu to the boat in the sand, after having recovered the
knowledge Shin Yang could see the environment where Cotu was, many people
performing domestic tasks, cultivating and preparing food, and children, and animals
living together in a beautiful community. Cotu introduced his family to the captain,
who was three little animals similar to the creature that accompanied Shi yang, Cotu
was very happy that his companion had recovered with an emotional look and let the
legendary captain know that there would always be a day to return to the sea.
