1. Though living under the same roof, every generation of people, besides
sharing certain similarities, is different in important ways.
How does your generation keep and change, in comparison to your parents’
generation? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
I. Introduction
Every generation is different from its previous one and hence there are
a lot of differences, some of them very important, between my parents
and my generation. Traditional conceptions, modern lifestyles, and the
development of technology are a few of the major factors that have
caused a great difference between my and my parent’s generation.

II. Body

A. Whether in modern times or in the past, parents always have

traditional views.
1. Over the centuries, my parents have always thought that in the old
days' everything was fine.
2. Unlike many other families, parents always have rigid rules about
everything.
B. However, my generation has a more open mind and a more
modern way of life.
1. They don't care what they say while arguing with their parents.
2. They live a more laid-back and daring life.
C. The biggest difference between the two generations is due to
technological developments.
1. Smartphones, computers, ... make the two become distant compared
to before.
2. Each person between the two generations should probably change
so that they can be closer to each other.
a. Learn to feel each other's thoughts.
b. Make everything around each other closer.
Despite the differences, both still have similarities in some aspects.
D. What belongs to tradition is still kept.
1. Parents and children both value and obey what they have such as
rituals, and religions,...
2. Not only two generations, but everyone shares the same bloodline
and keeps the memories of an old time, of customs and traditions,...
E. Both generations still have commonalities in personality,
habits, and interests.
1. Both are expressed through the phrase "like father, like son".
2. From habits to preferences are also inherited between two
generations.
III. Conclusion
To sum up, there are many other differences, but in my view, the
above-mentioned are the most important difference between my and
my parent’s generation. I believe that what needs to be kept or
changed will gradually become better now and in the future.
2. It has been said,” Not everything that is learned is contained in books”.
Compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience with knowledge
gained from books. Use specific reasons and examples to support your
answer.
I. Introduction
Some people believe that knowledge could be learned from many
sources like real-life experiences other than books. In my opinion,
although there are some similarities and differences between both
methods of knowledge acquisition, they are of equal importance
because they supplement each other.
II. Body
A.Similarities
The knowledge we get is thanks to both methods of learning through
books or experience.-> necessary for our career and life growth.
B. Differences
1. Learning theoretical knowledge from books is likely to be more of a
less costly and painful way to undergo.
2. The other way (knowledge gained from experience) requires a
considerate amount of effort, time, and money.

III. Conclusion
In conclusion, while learning from either books or experience are
similar and different to some extent, they are supplementary to each
other and thus equally essential from my point of view.
