● Why do you want to come on Ski Week? And what is your idea of a successful Ski Week?
Of course, Ski Week is known to be a lot of fun, the experience is definitely which will be a
highlight of the college experience as this opportunity is not seen much anywhere else (even
outside of college). More than that, I would love to get the opportunity to get to know more
people at college across the year levels and I’m sure being stuck on a mountain together will
make that much easier to do! A successful Ski Week to me would be one where lots of
memories are made, everyone’s come out with more than what they went in – experience
and personal-goal wise. For me, that would mean challenging myself on the slopes, getting
out of my comfort zone with some of the skills I whip out and, of course, a successful week
cannot be acknowledged without a snowman or two!!

● Why are you excited for Ormond Snowsports?

The main thing I want to get out of this year’s ski week would be a heap of awesome stories
and memories to last, I’ve never lived in a place with an annual winter until I moved to
Melbourne last year so going to the snow was a once every three-year sorta activity.
Because of this, skiing has always been a treat, therefore I’m really excited to get used to
living somewhat near the slopes (already using this to my advantage early last sem).
Furthermore, I believe that Snowsports is going to be one of the best facilitated ways to get
closer to people outside of the college and uni walls, where we can talk about and bond
over things beyond uni stress and whether dinner is worth going to formal hall or not.

● What makes you unique and a valuable contribution to Snowsports (worker parties + ski
week)?
- Not growing up in Aus I can bring some new and fun activities while were not skiing,
as well as my sick ukulele skills (for wholesome vibes) and a killer road trip playlist!
- I’ve been known to win at the arcade hammer competition thing which I believe
translates directly into wood chopping.
- I love working in a team as it makes hard work go fast and good times better. With
teamwork comes group support, I plan to be motivating and cheering everyone on -
no matter the skill - throughout the week and worker parties!
- A valuable contribution I can bring to ski week is a showcase of some never-before-
seen cool ski skills such as skiing down the mountain on my head as well as pizza-ing
through any thickness of plough.
- Moreover, my favourite meal of the day is brekkie and I can make a killer poached
egg (especially hungover) so those will be guaranteed every morning!!
- Of course, living all together there will be a mess, so with the help of some good
tunes working together I’d be more than happier to do some dishes and sweeping
when needed!
- Lastly, I can valuably contribute my car to transport people and gear to and from the
workers parties and Ski Week safely and reliably!
