Impressionism

A style or movement in painting originating in France in the 1860s, Characterized by a concern

with depicting the visual impression of the moment, especially In terms of the shifting effect of light and

scenes ng ordinary subjects, while ang postimpressionism naman ay yung style ng painting na hango sa
impressionism.

classical subject matter and in-imbrace nila yung modernity wherein they desired na gumawa ng
artworks na nagre- reflect sa mundong ginagalawan nile, wherein sa France.

Beginnings of impressionism

Impressionism coalesced in the 1869s when a group of painters Claude Monet, Alfred Sisley, and
Pierre-Auguste Renior pursued plein air painting together.

Claude Monet

Claude Monet was a famous French painter whose work gave a name to the art movement
impressionism, which was concerned with capturing light and natural forms.

Born on October 30, 1839 in Paris, France and Died on January, 29, 1899 at Moret-sur Loing. A
painter who was one of the creators of French impressionism.
