Predicate Adjective: An adjective that follows a linking verb. It normally modifies
the subject.

Directions: Write a sentence that incorporates a predicate adjective.

Directions: Underline each predicate adjective.

1. Jerelyn seems tired from homework.

2. The weather appears calm.

3. Those markers smell funny.

4. Our puppy is active and frequently needs potty breaks.

5. The old document was not clear.

6. His speech was nervous and shaky.
