What is Property, Plant and Equipment?

Give examples
Property, Plant and Equipment or PPE is classified under non-current Assets in the
statement of financial position. According to the standard these are tangible assets that are held
for use in production or supply of goods or services, for rental to others, or for administrative
purposes, and are expected to be used during more than one period. The major characteristics
of this includes (a) They are Tangible Assets, meaning they can touch and have physical
substance, (b) PPE are Used in Business, (c) Expected to be used over a period of more than
one year.
Some examples of property, plant and equipment are Land, Building, Machinery, Aircraft,
Furniture and Fixture, Ship, Office Equipment,bTools and as well as Bearer Plant.
