Halal Internal Audit Checklist – On site/ Compliance


1. There are pests such as cockroaches in the premises
- According to Malaysian Halal Certification Procedure Manual (Domestic)
17 (8) (c) Premises shall be fenced or have control mechanisms to prevent pets or wild animals, insects
and pests from entering or being within the premises.

2. Garbage bins are placed close to the processing area


- According to Malaysian Halal Certification Procedure Manual (Domestic)
17 (10) (b) The environment of the premises must be clean and free from factors that can
contaminate the premises.
17 (10) (e) The bins provided must be adequate, in good condition and covered. It is
recommended to use the rubbish bin of the hands free type (hands free or foot pedal)

Recommendation

1. Install insect or pest nets around the premises.


2. Place the trash can in the designated place.
3. Constantly monitor employee injection records.
4. Conduct continuous review of halal certificate documents
