Hadith Qudsi:
“My servant draws close to Me by nothing more beloved to
Me than what I have made obligatory for them.
And My servant continues to draw close to Me through
recommended works until I love them…”
Two steps to guidance:
(1) Doing the obligatory (leaving the prohibted)
(2) Doing the recommended (leaving the disliked)
Consequence: closeness and love
