 Think about a change you would like to introduce at DARVIS.


 What is the need of it?
 What initiative would you take to execute that change?
 Is it beneficial for darvis, if yes how?

Answer :
In this assignment i have discuss two changes that should be introduce in darvis.
These two changes are :
 Setting up rooftop for employees
 On job training
These two changes are discussed below in detail. These changes will be helpful for the
growth and success of DARVIS as well as or its employees. Let’s start with the detailed
discussion about the changes.

Setting up rooftop for employees


The wellbeing and job satisfaction of your employees can readily grow in a pleasant
and healthy work environment. Offices are putting an increasing amount of
emphasis on sustainability, health, and wellbeing. Allowing your staff to take a break
to sit on the roof terrace will allow them to unwind, take in some fresh air, and return
to work feeling refreshed. The outdoors not only helps individuals unwind, but it’s
also very good for their health.
On average, one in six workers gets burned out. This can make your body and mind
tired and stressed out, and it can even lead to depression and trouble sleeping.
Getting some fresh air and going for a walk can help a lot.
Several studies have shown that being outside lowers cortisol. Cortisol is a hormone
that is made by tension and stress. Also, being outside in the fresh air slows down
your heart rate. So, this makes it easier to relax, and employees can go back to work
with a clear head after a short break outside.
Also, when you hold meetings on a rooftop terrace, you keep your staff members at a
safe distance from each other. In this outdoor area, the only thing you’ll trade is
ideas, not highly contagious germs.
Initiatives:
People will enjoy your rooftop terrace more or less depending on how you decorate it.
Even if the space has a lot of potential, your staff might look elsewhere for a green
spot if it doesn’t have certain amenities.
Introducing different plants
Plants of all kinds can add color to your outdoor spaces. This will not only make the
space more relaxing, but it will also help separate areas, which could be important if
you have different groups of people working on the roof at the same time.
Protection from the weather
Unless you work in a place with mild weather and temperatures, you’ll require
infrastructure for the warmer temperatures and colder months. Your employees will
be able to use these spaces longer if you add outdoor heaters, fire pits, portable
fans, and umbrellas that protect from the sun and rain.
Furniture:
Choose furniture that can stand up to the weather and is comfortable and supportive.
Setting up tables is also a good idea for outdoor meetings and for using the terrace
as makeshift workstations.
Installing Power Up:
Rooftop terraces are best when they have a strong WIFI connection and an outlet.
So, even if people aren’t at their desks, they can still be online and connected. By
doing this, people don’t have to choose where to depend solely on whether or not
the internet is good.

Being outside has many health benefits, such as reduced tension, improved moods,
and more physical activity. Studies have shown that being outside can lower cortisol
levels, a stress hormone, and reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Possibility of standing and moving around can also enhance physical health and
reduce dangers related to a sedentary lifestyle.

It has been shown that having breaks and changing up your environment can boost
productivity. Rooftop seating arrangements can give employees a place to unwind,
reenergize, and come back to work with renewed vigour and concentration.

Overall, offering rooftop seating to staff members can be a wise financial decision for
the business, boosting morale, efficiency, innovation, health, and competitiveness.
On job training

Part time training with an organization’s relevant department can be a valuable


opportunity for employee to develop their skills and knowledge, while still being able to
fulfill their job responsibilities.
As it is said,
“if you want to truly understand something, try to change it”.

On job training method is called internship. In this type of training educational
institutions and business organizations have a join program of training the employees or
interns. The selected candidates carry out the regular part time job for set of period of
time. Here the employee may be some factory or in a particular office to acquire the
practical knowledge skills to perform certain job. This type of training helping balance in
the theoretical aspects and practical knowledge.
“change before you have to”
As the quote above clearly reflects its meaning that change is important.
Talking about change, I want to help my HR department to introduce the internship
method in our organization. Internship method will be beneficial for each and every
employees as they will be motivated. Here I will discuss my opinion our company.
Our company is offering some course but as far as I am concern is that the course is
not relevant to my field.
I want to explore my field and want to work and see how things work in our company in
our relevant field.
Darvis should allow limited number of employees to sit with the main person of their
field and observe how they manage things. And after 2, 3 weeks of observation the
main person should assign company related tasks so we can have practical experience.

Beneficial for darvis:


Such type of exposure will benefit me to pursue my career in my relevant field. I will be
able to understand the purpose of my field more clearly when I will practice it in person.
As my background is of accounts and finance, I will prefer to utilize my spare time to sit
by the accounts and finance person and observe the way of managing and operating
things. After the observation period, i would like to perform some of field related tasks to
enhance my knowledge and gain confidence to do something good for my career.
Suck type of policy or arrangements will boost up the confidence level of part time
employees and they will get more motivated to learn, work and explore.
Practical is the main thing to focus on as practice will make my concepts more clear and
I will be able to develop skills related to my field.

Better employee performance :


Workers can gain new skills from training, stay current with industry trends and best
practises, and work more efficiently overall. Superior training tends to make employees
more confident, which can boost productivity and raise the calibre of work.
Maintain employee retention:
Employee job satisfaction and loyalty to the company can both be improved by offering
training possibilities. Long-term retention of employees is increased when they perceive
that the business cares about their professional development. The associated expenses
of hiring and onboarding new employees can be decreased as a result, as can turnover.
Increased new innovation:
Employees may be exposed to fresh perspectives and methods of thinking through
training, which could result in an improvement in their originality and creativity. The
company can gain from its workers’ new perspectives and ideas when they are
encouraged to think creatively and find original solutions to issues.
Improved organizational reputation :
Training can assist in lowering costs and raising profitability by giving workers the
abilities and information they need to carry out their tasks more effectively. In order to
decrease errors and boost productivity, for instance, training staff members to use new
technology or equipment can help. Over time, this can result in cost savings.
Skill development :
By practicing sach type of programs one can develop skills or enhance there field
related skills.
Student loan:
Employees can acquire student loan to help pay for their education.
Many financial institutions, such as banks and credit unions, provide student loans to people wh
o are employed or who are awaiting an employment offer. 
Additionally, some employers may include student debt repayment help or tuition reimbursemen
t plans in their benefits package.
The programme needs to be advertised to your workers once the specifics have been decided
upon and a lender has been partnered with you.
