Informative Essay: Absences

Absence is the fact of someone being away from a place where they are usually expected to be. We
should inform our adviser ahead of time so that they would know if we are coming to school or
not. One of the outcomes of being absent is the possibility of missing certain activities and quizzes
in school. Bad weather condition and sickness of a student are some of the common reasons of
being absent. We cannot prevent bad weather, but we can prevent being sick by making sure we
eat well and have a good night sleep. If it happens that we are absent the previous day, we should
secure an excuse letter and ask our classmates if we missed anything important like exams and
quizzes. If our classmate is the one who is absent on the other hand, we should tell them
everything they missed so they’ll know if they missed anything important. Being absent will
greatly affect one’s performance in what they’re doing because they might have missed important
activities and quizzes. Students like us shouldn’t be absent so that we do not miss anything
important. Avoiding absence is an important thing so that our grades wouldn’t decrease and so
that we wouldn’t miss any new lesson. We should always be present in class every school day so we
can learn something new and so that we wouldn’t be confused when taking exams.
