TANKER VESSEL’S CHECKLIST PR-EARRIVAL TERMINAL

⃞ Are ship’s whistles, walkie-talkies and other mode of communication check in working order?
⃞ Are measuring instrument such as oxygen meter, combustible gas/tank scope, toxic gas meter,
Sounding tapes, and MMC tapes checked and calibrated?
⃞ Are all the relevant signage anti-smoking /pollution /gangway notices and fire plan displayed/

⃞ Are the loading/ deballsting and stress and bending moment establish?
⃞ Are before loading/ before discharging and Arrival / departure checklist complied with?
⃞ Are reducers installed as required and on the correct side?
⃞ Are SOPEP equipment (and OPA 90 equipments if calling US ports) ready at manifold (berth side)
⃞ Are wilden pumps rigged and earthed?
⃞ Are all FFA items and hose ready for use ( one set of fire and foam hoses and nozzles to be
Standby at the manifold area?
⃞ Are all foam turrets facing the manifold area and one facing the mast riser?
⃞ Is the crane/derrick tested/rigged on the berthing side?
⃞ Are manual valves between cargo bilge line / ballast educator shut?
⃞ Are scuppers plugged?
⃞ Are all manifold valves shut?
⃞ Are all cargo/ stripping valves shut and in good condition?
⃞ Are manifold pressure / temperature gauges in good working order?
⃞ Are cargo/ballast valve system hydraulic tank level checks?
⃞ Are heating system tested for heated csrgo?
⃞ Are fire wire place on deck fore and aft on the seaward side & properly rigged on the bollard?
⃞ Are ventilation/lighting for pumproom checked?
⃞ Are mechanical ventilation flaps for the pumproom checked?
⃞ Is the fixed gas detection system in pump room tested and celibraed?
⃞ Are venting arrangement mast riser /pv/ arrangement serviced and checked?
⃞ Are COP trip/ pumproom bilge’s alarm/ COT high-level alarm tested?
⃞ Is the emergency hydraulic portable pump for valve actuator checked?
⃞ Are grating for manifold drip trays and pumproom secured property?
⃞ Are all electrical tools removed from deck ( light cluster etc)?
⃞ Are all electricity point on deck protected by covers or isolated?
⃞ Are the boiler(s) in continuous operation at least 2 hours prior to berthing?
⃞ Is the IGS /IGG in continuous operation at least 2 hours prior to berthing?
⃞ Has the IG been checked for soot contamination prior to use in COT’s?
⃞ All cargo oil tanks atmosphere checked and verified that oxygen content is below 8% by volume?
