The healthcare system is so vital now that it is controversial, because governments

throughout the world spend a lot of money on it every year. Some people believe that medical
treatments should be available to all patients, while others believe that those who lead
unhealthy lifestyles should pay for them totally. As far as I am concerned, I believe that the
healthcare system should be free, and I will explain why in this post.
First and foremost, health is an essential good that should be guaranteed to all citizens of a
country. A wealthy individual, for example, should not have access to superior therapies
simply because they can afford them. Instead, I firmly think that every person should have
equal access to healthcare and treatment options.
Second, if sick people are not treated on time, even if their illness is caused by poor lifestyle
choices, the cost of treatment will rise as the disease worsens. People with diabetic feet are a
fantastic example of this. If these diabetics do not treat their wounds, they may be forced to
amputate their foot, which will be significantly more costly for everyone. Furthermore, the
quality of life for these persons will deteriorate dramatically.
Finally, everyone requires health in order to work and contribute to a country's economy, thus
I think that all citizens should have access to high-quality healthcare. People with drug issues,
for example, should aim to heal so that they can work and contribute to society.
To summarize, I believe that free medical services are extremely vital to society since
everyone deserves the opportunity to be healthy. However, I believe that governments should
invest more in health education because many problems could be avoided if citizens were
better informed about healthy lifestyles and disease prevention.
