PACKS INTEGRA ELTS / RETROFIT INSTALLATION KITS

DESCRIPTION / INSTALLATION

1. REASON
Installation of the new INTEGRA ELT designed with an internal 406 MHz antenna and internal
GPS.

2. DESCRIPTION
The INTEGRA ELT can be procured as packs or as a standalone unit. Two packs are
available:
 INTEGRA AF Pack designed for flat installation on fix wings aircraft and specific
installation on helicopters;
 INTEGRA AF-H Pack designed for flat installation on helicopters only.
Retrofit kits are available for easier installation when updating from 121.5 MHz from common
existing brands. When installed with a retrofit kit, only the ELT unit and antenna are required.
Two retrofit kits are available:
 ACK Retrofit Installation Kit, for ACK 121.5 MHz ELT retrofit.
 AMERI-KING Retrofit Installation Kit, for AMERI-KING 121.5 MHz ELT retrofit.

C. ACK Retrofit Installation Kit

ACK Retrofit Installation Kit, P/N 1202572, contains the following:

IMPORTANT: an ELT Unit, either of INTEGRA Family (AF INTEGRA, P/N S1851501-02),
(AF-H INTEGRA, PN S1852501-02), (AP-INTEGRA, P/N S1850501-02), (AP-H INTEGRA,
P/N S1854501-02) or KANNAD 406 AF-COMPACT (P/N S1840501-01) shall be ordered
separately.

D. AMERI-KING Retrofit Kit

AMERI KING Retrofit Installation Kit, P/N 1202573, contains the following:

IMPORTANT: an ELT Unit, either of INTEGRA Family (AF INTEGRA, P/N S1851501-02),
(AF-H INTEGRA, PN S1852501-02), (AP-INTEGRA, P/N S1850501-02), (AP-H INTEGRA,
P/N S1854501-02) or KANNAD 406 AF-COMPACT (P/N S1840501-01) shall be ordered
separately.

3. APPROVED INSTALLATION
The integral 406 MHz antenna is officially for back up only. Automatic Fixed (AF) or Automatic
Portable (AP) ELTs, even fitted with this integral antenna, are still required to be connected to
an external approved antenna.
Local regulation may allow other installations than as described in the installation manual.
However, when authorized by national regulations, if they are installed without being
connected to an external antenna and / or used as portable equipment, in this case, 121.5 MHz
transmission will not be available. Accurate position can be found thanks to the built-in GPS
data transmitted within the 406 MHz message.
