ANYTHING ABOUT ME!

Hello sir Jade! Hello everyone! I hope you all are doing well. My first name is Melva Mae and
Frejoles is my surname. You can call me “em-em”. I’m from Cebu, a tañonganon from the
province of Santander. I live with my mama, papa, and my two siblings which are all boys.

I have this one hobby of mine which is planting. And I think that I inherit this hobby from my
mama since she’s into planting and taking care of different plants. All that is beautiful in life is
what I really like. I love to live my life with colors just like the mesmerizing views of different
flowers in our humble house.

I am turning 22 years old this September and one thing I cannot live without is my blanket. Yes,
I still sleep with the same blanket I’ve had since I was born. And this is my blanket (shows the
blanket)! This used to be extremely long, white, and made of a thick, heavy fabric that covered
my entire body. Now, it is brownish, quite short, and appears to be rotting since it is now easy to
torn. It may seem like trash but yet comforting cloth, and the smell of home. I always bring this
whenever I can, especially in school camping and vacations even now that I’m in a boarding
house, because I can’t sleep without it. My blanket holds a very special place in my heart; it is
the only permanent thing in my life that never left me in the roller coaster ride of destiny. My
security blanket never failed to give me comfort and happiness during my darkest days.

The fact that I rely on my safety blanket "too much", shows how frightened I am of being
independent and alone in life. But one thing is for sure, I only have myself to fall back on, so
being able to handle things on my own is important because at the end of the day, it is still about
being secure with who I am and what I believe in. That would be all and may our Lord God bless
and keep us safe always. Thank you!
