identify this as the Right Side (also known as the “outside”) of your hat

• Knit 1, pass the stitch marker

• *Knit 1, Purl 1* repeat between * until 2 stitches remain before the next
marker, K2T, pass the stitch marker. Repeat a total of 5 times

Continue repeating Decrease Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until 1 stitch remains between each of the
stitch markers.

Finishing (Video Time 22:40)

Remove the stitch markers by passing each stitch from the left to right knitting needle.

Cut the yarn leaving a 1-yard (0.9 m) tail. Use the tapestry needle to thread the tail
through the remaining stitches, starting at the opposite side of where the tail is coming
out of the work (left to right).

With the Decrease Repeat Row 2 facing outward (with the removable stitch marker on
the outside of your work - see note above), sew the two sides of the hat together using
mattress stitch.

Folded Brim Option: Stop seaming {1.5}[2] inches ({3.8}[5.1]cm) before the
bottom edge. Thread the seaming tail to the inside of the work. Inside-out the
hat and continue the remainder of the seam on this side of the work.
