Chris, a teenage boy living in the 1980s, finds himself being repeatedly rejected and
bullied by all of his fellow schoolmates because of being black except for a rather nerdy
boy and fellow unpopular student named Greg. At home, Chris's life is not any easier,
with a cheap father named Julius, a boisterous, loud, and paranoid mother named
Rochelle, an attractive, lucky, and popular brother named Drew, and an overindulged,
whiny sister named Tonya.
