• In fact, this film is the second in a

retelling of the Cinderella fairy tale
in modern setting, but there is no
obvious connection between the
films' stories.
CAST AND CHARACTERS
• Mary Santiago: The main character of "Another Cinderella Story," Mary is a
talented dancer who dreams of attending a prestigious dance school. She lives
with her cruel stepmother and stepsisters but finds solace in her passion for
dance.
• Joey Parker: Joey is a famous pop star who returns to high school to finish
his education. He meets Mary at a masked ball and is immediately drawn to
her, but she doesn't realize who he is at first. Joey is determined to find Mary
and get to know her better.
• Dominique Blatt: Mary's legal guardian and stepmother, who is initially
jealous of Mary's talent and popularity. She is a mean-spirited woman who
goes out of her way to make Mary's life difficult, but eventually learns to
respect and appreciate Mary's talents.
• Tami: Tami is Mary's best friend and confidante. She is a skilled dancer
herself and helps Mary prepare for her audition at the dance school. Tami is
loyal and supportive, always encouraging Mary to pursue her dreams.
• Britt: Mary's stepsister who is jealous of her and tries to come between her
and Joey.
• Bree: One of Dominique's daugther and Mary's stepsister, who initially
bullies Mary but later becomes her ally and helps her with her dance routine.
• Dustin: Dustin is Joey's friend and manager. He is always looking out for
Joey's best interests, but he also becomes a friend to Mary and helps her
throughout the film.
• Natalia Faroush: Joey's ex-girlfriend and a dance instructor who becomes
jealous of Mary's growing relationship with Joey. She is always mean to
Mary.
MARY'S STEPSISTERS
MARY'S STEPMOTHER, DOMINIQUE.
SUMMARY
• The movie follows Mary, a talented dancer who wants to get a scholarship
in the famous Manhattan School of Performing Arts. Mary's mother sadly
passed away, leaving her in the care of her wealthy pop star stepmother
Dominique Blatt, who also has two spoil children named Bree and Britt.
• Mary continues to work hard and stay focused on her goals in despite the
challenges she faces so that she can achieve her dreams. She quietly
attends in dance lessons at the school in hopes to improve her skills.
• Joey Parker, a worldwide popstar, returns to Los Angeles to complete his
senior year of high school. The winner of a dancing contest he sponsors
will have the opportunity a role in his next music video.
• Joey was at the same school as Mary and Mary's stepsisters before being
popular among everyone. Mary, who has loved Joey since she was a
young girl, is delighted to hear that he is returning to school. Mary is
forbidden from attending the dance ball which is a black and white ball
includes masks so no one knows who anyone is, by her cruel stepmother.
Unfazed, Mary enlists the help of her closest friend Tami and attends the
ball secretly. Mary and Joey danced at the ball, and when the dance was
over, she had no way to talk to Joey and left the ball because Mary had
sneaked away and needed to be back home before midnight. After the
dance, Joey tries to figure out how to find the girl she was dancing with.
• In the end, Joey finally discovers Mary's true identity and confesses his
love for her.
My Opinions About The Movie
• I discovered "Another Cinderella Story" by
listening to the movie's soundtrack.
Furthermore, I made the decision to watch
the movie because I loved Selena, who
played Mary.
• I liked it as the film reminded me of my
childhood when my only concern was not
to miss my favorite cartoon show.
Because in those days, there were
Disney-made teen movies and tv shows.
It's terrific that the movie made me feel.
Plus, I appreciate how a classic fairy tale
like Cinderella has been recreated as a
modern story.
• I definitely suggest watching it for people
who like such productions, even though it
may seem boring to people in the middle
ages and beyond because it is a teen
movie.
