Be That Man (BTM) – Class of 2022 – Elevator Engagement

The REALMAN Movement , under which the Be That Man class falls, is a
program driven by Celebration Ministries International. The Leaders are Senior
Pastors Tom and Bonnie Deuschle. Together with a team of Men’s Leadership
the program is being rolled out yearly.
It is an Interdenominational program. There is no requirement for one to be
part of Celebration Church. The main requirement is our common belief that
Jesus Christ died for our sins and we have given our lives to Christ.

What is the REALMAN MOVEMENT?

The REAL MAN MOVEMENT is ministry to men. The aim of the movement is to
train men to uphold the standard that Manhood and Christlikeness are
synonymous. The intention of the REALMAN Runway is to develop men who:

R: are in Real relationships with God and with men (family, church,
community).
E: are Engaged - A man is only qualified to lead to the degree to which he is
serving. Involvement is key to a man’s call. REAL men are engaged in
serving wherever they are called – in their families, work place, church,
community, etc. A real man is seized with reaching out to others, bringing
them to the knowledge of Christ and discipling them.
A: are Accountable to God, their family and other men. Real authority
comes with accountability.
L: have Longevity – A REALMAN builds generationally. He builds beyond
himself with others in mind. Fame comes in a moment but greatness
comes with longevity.

these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

What is the REALMAN Runway?

The REALMAN Runway is a lifelong discipleship track for men, which involves
diligent study and application of biblical patterns & principles. The intention is
to produce real men whose standard is that Manhood and Christlikeness are
synonymous.
This starts with a man knowing God through salvation. He then undertakes a
two year structured discipleship program that begins with;
 • Be That Man, followed by Majoring in Manhood and finally the man is
Commissioned

What is Be That Man (BTM) program?

This is the start of the runway where men grow in their understanding of basic
patterns & principles of manhood and Christlike synonymousness, engaging
in service and connecting with one another.

What is the Curriculum Structure?

​ Duration : 1 Year (2022)
​ 9 Sessions on Key Life Topics. For one to graduate they would need to
complete any 7 courses
​ There are 2 Books to be read over this period :-

o Building People Building Dreams – Pastor Tom Deuschle - $10usd

o Maximised Manhood – Dr Lewis Edwin Cole - $10usd
(Books available at Wordwide Book Store, Celebration Borrowdale)

​ 2 mandatory Assignments will be asked to be submitted based on the

2 books -Assignments will be no more than 2 pages.
​ Each man is expected to be in a Cell Group – as Cell groups are to
discuss and walk together throughout the year
​ Cell meetings are to be done weekly, and lessons will be provided

Program Attendance Structure :-

​ The expectation is that there will be a session either physical or online

on an assigned date.
​ Each Session will cost - $USD 10 (Students will get a 50% discount,
should one require assistance they need to reach out to our Pastoral
Leader – Mr Mufaro Tamanikwa on +263 772 299 7560. However we
would encourage each man make an effort to be able to foot this bill,
as they get stronger in their Christlikeness journey.

In normal times:
​ Sessions would be conducted at Borrowdale Church, and physical
appearance of each man is required.
However in this season we will be using both physical and online as we have
international attendees in our midst.
In Lockdown Scenarios: Online Structure – Zoom platform
​ After you have paid , a link will be provided for you to join the session
or class
​ The Runway session will be conducted by the leaders , and then a
breakaway session in your Cell Structure
​ Time – Each session will start at 7.15am to 14.00hrs.

What is a Cell Structure:

It is a REALMAN meeting at a set venue and at a set time discussing and

going through the practical application(s) of a prepared Lesson or other
issues affecting the men. It is encouraged that men meet in homes/online
(now dependent on Lockdown scenarios). The meeting runs for 60 minutes
(1hr) with an additional 30 minutes of fellowship
​ A cell leader will be chosen among you and each group will have a
Facilitator who is a Majored or Commissioned Man.
​ Breakaway sessions will be organised by Cell Leaders aided by
Facilitators.
