1. General
This manual must be used as a reference book of the product as mentioned on the cover of this
manual such that only authorized personnel can use and maintain the machine in a safe way. Keep
this manual in a predetermined place near by the system. If this manual is lost, please order a new
copy from Feltracon B.V.
This manual provides information about safety, technical specifications and operating instructions.
Read this manual carefully before using the machine. Take all safety precautions as described in the
chapter “safety” into account, always!
The system has been developed with great care and fulfils the CE demands. Unauthorized modifications
to the machine are not allowed. All maintenance actions, repairs / replacements, malfunctions and
inspections must be noted in the chapter “journal”.
Feltracon B.V. is not responsible for possible damage or injury, which is caused by not following the
instructions as described in this manual.
Danger
Not (or not completely) observing the operating instructions can lead to serious accidents
or damage.

2. Safety
2.1. General
• Opening a safety screen is no guaranty for a safe entrance. The safety switches on
the cover of the machine provide only an extra safety precaution of the machine.
Shut off the electricity by turning the main switch to the “off” position and shut of the
air supply if you wish a safe entrance to the machine.
• Do not ever remove safety precautions or place them out of order.
• Make sure that the electricity supply is disconnected during operations at the
machine.
• Keep electrical switch boxes closed in order to prevent contact danger.
• Pull the plug out off the socket or turn of the main switch and lock the switch if the
machine won’t be used.

• Do not accelerate the centrifuge more then the written value in chapter 0.
• Do not use the de machine in the neighborhood of flammable liquids or gasses.
• The operation position has to be illuminated sufficiently (about 50 lux).
• This machine may only be used for the activities as described earlier in the
document.
• Within the circuit of the bags there must be no obstructions.
• With the machine in operation it is forbidden to be within the operation area of this
apparatus.
• Before taking the machine into operation the machine operator has to be certain that
nobody is located within the operating area of the machine.
• Keep children out of the direct neighborhood of the machine.
• Local working and safety rules have to be acted upon.
• The machine may only be used for the intended activity.
• Do not overload the machine.

3.2.1. Loading
The untreated products must be imported at the top of the centrifuge. The movable cone at the bottom
of the Wedge wire drum closes the centrifuge during the loading process.
It is recommended to rotate the Wedge wire drum at a low speed (± 60 Rpm.) during the loading
process so the product divides equally in the Wedge wire drum. This can be realized by connecting a
frequency-controlled motor to the drive shaft.
3.2.2. Drying
After the filling time expires, the product supply shall stop. The centrifuge accelerates the spin to its
preset value (see technical specification). The moist/oil (grease) will be withdrawn from the products
as a result of the centrifugal force of the centrifuge. A water disposal gutter transports the separated
moist out of the machine. Fluid filled air mounts absorb the vibrations of the centrifuge.
3.2.3. Unloading
The drum stops after the centrifuge time expires. A lifting arm will move the movable cone which is
connected to the upper frame. The movable cone goes down and the dry product drops out of the
bottom of the centrifuge so it can be processed further on.

The centrifuge has three greasing points as shown in the above figure. The main bearing has two
points with an outlet to the grease collection cup. This cup is only used during normal operation and
should be emptied when greasing the system and/or when the centrifuge is cleaned.
The third point is for greasing the top bearing of the cone. There is no grease return for this bearing.
Step Description
1 Check bearing seals of leakage at the top and bottom side
2 Alternately grease nipple 1 and 2 of the main bearing with “Finfood grease 2 Interflon” until
grease runs out at the grease overflow point.
3 Put about 10cc of grease extra in nipple 1 and 2 of the main bearing
4 Clean up and clear out the removable grease collection cup.
Step Description
1 Put weekly 10cc of “Finfood grease 2 Interflon” in the greasing nipple of the top bearing
2 Clean the bearing if necessary.

• Use only lifting belts which have a sufficient lifting capacity in case of moving the
machine (see chapter “Technical data”).
• Unfastened components have to be fixed before the machine can be moved.
• Watch the centre of gravity from the machine when lifting it.
• Pay strict attention to the machine during transport. It is not allowed to torque the
machine.
• Transportation of this machine has to be done according to the rules of the law (i.e.
transportation Dutch road traffic).
• Transportation packing should be marked with the sum of the weight of the machine
inclusive packaging material, the center of gravity and the location of the lifting
position.
• The operation procedures (except 5.2 First time use of the machine) as described in
this chapter are only valid if the optional electric and pneumatic installation are
installed by Feltracon B.V.

Step Description
1 Adjust the necessary air pressure see also technical specifications) with the air reduce key
(Figure 5-1:1). The actual air pressure will be shown on the display (Figure 5-1:3) of the air
treatment unit.
2 Regulate the option of greasing the compressed air with the oil supply knob (Figure 5-1:2). 1
to 12 drops per 1000 litre air are sufficient.
3 If necessary, empty the condensing reservoir by manual operation of the cut-off (Figure
5-1:4).
Step Description
1 Make sure that the electric power of the conveyor is disconnected.
2 Clean the machine and its environment with water. Use a high pressure cleaner.
Note • Use only the right cleaning equipment, which is allowed by law.
• Always pay attention to the legal and local hygiene regulations when cleaning the
machine.
5.5. Disposal
• By replacing parts or at the end of the life cycle of the machine it is of great
importance that you make sure that all materials are carried away, destroyed or
recycled in a legal responsible and an environmentally save way.

6. Maintenance
6.1. General
• Maintenance activities shall be carried out only by authorised persons, which are
appointed by Feltracon BV.
• Regard all safety rules, which are appropriate on this machine.
• Protect the skin and eyes by all maintenance activities. Be careful with cleaning
supplies.
• All parts and bearings of this installation are maintenance poor and need no
lubrication unless mentioned else in this document.
• Use only components, which are delivered or approved by the manufacturer to
replace or repair parts of the machine.
• The maintenance activities are carried out at regular use. Obviously the
maintenance depends on the product and the intensity of use of the machine.
• When maintenance activities of the system have to be performed it is advisable to
clear out the machine. The main switch has to be put into the “off” position and the
air supply has to be closed.
• The machine has to be tested after the maintenance activities have been carried out
to make sure that the machine can be used again in a safe way.
