SPORT- CRICKET

The Sport of Cricket was chosen by the coach. This sport specifically comprises skills such as, batting, bowling, wicketkeeping and
fielding. According to ICC (International Cricket Council), Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players
on a field at the center of which is a 22-yard pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps.
Cricket is a team event of 11 on field players, with men competitions and women competitions. The game has 3 formats, T20 which is
20 overs a side, 50 overs a side (one day) and Test match (5 days). The athletes I train play cricket because they are passionate and
love the sport as it is a main sport played locally in T&T and the Caribbean and also worldwide, these cricketers get their inspiration
and motivation from past cricket legends such as Brian Lara and Darren Ganga which are from Trinidad locally and also players today
such as Nicholas Pooran and Bravo etc and also because it can be of great financial aid to these players.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

The majority of players/athletes had and still have the opportunity of competing at school, zone and national leagues. They have the
motivation of training towards school and regional cricket tournaments under the age of 19 and in future senior competitions as they
will be training to accomplish this goal. The objectives of this training program however include:

1. Enhancing and improving batting, bowling, wicketkeeping and fielding skills.

2. To increase fitness levels of every player to a very competitive level.
3. To increase muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance by at least 15%
4. To obtain a level of professionalism towards the sport
5. To win school under 19 national competition and have players qualify to play regionally

2
DURATION

This program will last for 12 months from June 2021 to May, 2022. This will go along with the calendar of the national Secondary
Schools Cricket League and the TTCB National under 19 competition.

GENDER
