明治時代の東京にあった外国公館(3)
筆者は今回、
『外務省調査月報』2012 年度/ No.1 の拙稿(2)につづき、1869 年（明治元年
―2 年）から 1886 年（明治 19 年）まで日本に置かれていた 17 ヵ国の公使館のうち、5. デ
ンマークから 11. オランダ（のち、兼スウェーデン・ノルウェー）の 7 ヵ国の公使館のこの
期間における動きをフォローした。次回はこれに引き続き、残る 7 ヵ国を取り上げる。これ
により、当時日本に置かれていた公使館のそれぞれにつき歴代の公館長名、信任（着任）日、
資格、公館の所在地等の情報を可能な限り伝えることとしたい。
一再ならず述べたように、外務省外交史料館には 1886 年までの外交団リストが欠けてお
り、筆者は本稿により不完全ながらこの欠落を少しでも補うことに努めている。まだ不足し
ているデータが多いが、今後その補充に努めることとしたい。

Foreign Missions in Tokyo in the Early Meiji Era (3)
In the 2012/No.1 issue of the Bulletin, the author took up three of the seventeen
foreign countries that maintained diplomatic missions in Japan from 1869 through 1869.
In this issue, six missions of the remaining fourteen countries are dealt with.
As it was stated earlier, the oldest issue of the Tokyo Diplomatic List preserved at the
Diplomatic Record Office of the Foreign Ministry of Japan is the January 1887 issue. The
author believes he could, at least partially, provide information so as to reconstitute the
missing issues of the List.
