Madrid is a very important city of Spain.

Madrid is the capital of Spain and is also

known as Villa y Corte. It is the largest city in the country and the third in the European

Union, with more than 3 million inhabitants (more than 6 million in its metropolitan

area).

It is located in the center of the Iberian Peninsula and forms an autonomous

community.

It is famous worldwide for its countless monuments and fountains, its great museums,

its architecture, its parks and squares, and many other things. Madrid has a cultural life

as rich as that of other European cities such as Paris or London. In it you can see

plays, musicals, movie premieres, it is also a city with some of the most important

monuments in Spain, both architectural, pictorial or sculpture.

Magerit, “land rich in water”, is the name with which the Arabs identified the plateau

enclave near the Sierra de Guadarrama that Felipe II chose to establish his court and

which would later become the Madrid we know today.

The capital has all kinds of fountains, buildings and monuments of great cultural

interest, but only one of them has the label of "the oldest monument in Madrid", and

that is the Temple of Debod.


These four skyscrapers make up a business park built on the land of the former Real

Madrid Sports City. The four towers are Torre Foster, Torre PwC (formerly Sacyr

Vallehermoso), Torre de Cristal, the highest at 249 meters, and Torre Emperador

Castellana, formerly known as Torre Espacio.

This building has been converted for many years into the Royal Residence and

although the Kings of Spain currently live in the Zarzuela Palace, the Royal Palace

continues to be the protagonist of official State acts

Magerit, “tierra rica en agua”, es el nombre con el que los árabes identificaron el
enclave mesetario próximo a la sierra de Guadarrama que Felipe II eligió para
establecer su corte y que posteriormente se convertiría en el Madrid que hoy
conocemos.

La capital cuenta con todo tipo fuentes, edificios y monumentos de gran interés cultural

es el Templo de Debod

Este edificio se ha convertido durante muchos años en la Residencia Real y
aunque actualmente los Reyes de España vivan en el Palacio de la Zarzuela, el
Palacio Real sigue siendo protagonista de actos oficiales del Estado

with more than almost seven hundred thousand inhabitants (more than 1,5 million in its

metropolitan area).

It is located in the south of the Iberian Peninsula and forms an autonomous community

along with seven other provinces.

It is famous worldwide for its countless monuments and fountains, its great museums,

its architecture, its parks and squares, and many other things. Seville has a cultural life

as rich as that of other European cities such as Paris or London. In it you can see

plays, musicals, movie premieres, it is also a city with some of the most important

monuments in Spain, both architectural, pictorial or sculpture.

Isbiliya,”arquillo de la plata” is the name with which the Arabs identified this place.

Among the main monuments, is obligatory visits the Spain square, the Cathedral, the

“Santa Cruz” neighborhood, tower of Gold, or the Benito Villamarín Stadium.
