What is Call for Papers?

To make sure the technical streams are as valuable for our attendees
as possible we ask interested parties to send in a short summary of
what they want to submit in advance (called an abstract). They are
then judged with the best marked papers making the agenda.

The deadline for submissions is 31 March 2023

Who Marks the Abstracts?

The papers are marked by the senior refiners of our Advisory Board
committee.

What criteria do the advisors follow?

Call for Papers Tips:

• The Call for Papers process can be competitive


with up to 1 in 4 accepted and even higher some
times. Make sure to fill the form out properly –
what you write will be seen by our Advisors.

• Topics presented elsewhere will lose points


on innovation, try to put a new spin on your
presentation.

• Think of your regional audience - how will this


technology help them? Add 3 takeaways that are
clear on the value the presentation brings.

• Co-presentations: a supplier and a refiner tend


to score the highest as they demonstrate a
technology in use. If you plan to co-present, do
note it.

• Case studies and real life examples also score


highly over theoretical presentations.
