Title: How coworking spaces will impact work setting in the next decade

Coworking spaces are shared workspaces that can be utilized by employees from various org
anizations or independent contractors who share office fees, expenses, and equipment. Cowor
king spaces have become an increasingly popular option for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and s
mall businesses seeking a flexible and collaborative workspace. As we look towards the futur
e, it is important to understand how coworking spaces will impact work setting in the next de
cade. In this blog post, we will synthesize the findings of two sources on this topic and explor
e how coworking spaces will affect the work setting.

The first source we reviewed is an article titled "Research: How Coworking Spaces Impact E
mployee Well-Being (2023). The article explores how coworking sites offer better opportunit
ies for relational job crafting than the office or home environments, allowing employees to cu
stomize their jobs and avoid unnecessary interactions with colleagues. This may be especially
helpful for underrepresented populations. Coworking sites offer a variety of relationship partn
ers, a respite from competitive and evaluative pressures, and communally derived norms and
enforcement mechanisms. Employers can take steps to encourage and support their workforce
in the use of coworking sites. Employers can encourage coworking by providing stipends to c
over usage costs and promoting "group coworking days" to reduce the convenience trap of w
orking from home. Employers can make switching to coworking sites easier by providing ext
ra power cords, parking and commuting discounts, and support for relational programming.

The second source we reviewed is a research article titled "Coworking Benefits: 5 Reasons Y
ou Should Try Coworking"(2020). The article investigates coworking as a form of shared offi
ce space rental where companies and individuals can take out flexible leases. It offers employ
ees better concentration by pulling off the distraction as well as being surrounded by professi
onals which can help employees increase their productivity. Coworking spaces offer a profess
ional environment for meeting clients as it can provide professional meeting rooms, telephon
e booths, and dedicated desks which those small companies unable to afford, a flexible works
pace, improved mental well-being which can give a thriving hub of creativity. They also help
to separate work and personal life, making it easier to switch into productivity mode.

The first source, “Research: How Coworking Spaces Impact Employee Well-Being”(2023), e
xplores the impact of coworking spaces on employee well-being. The paper offers insightful i
nformation on how coworking environments might improve prospects for relational job creati
on, enabling workers to personalize their work and prevent needless interactions with cowork
ers. The essay also emphasizes the value of coworking spaces in offering a range of connectio
n partners, a break from demands of competition and evaluation, and collectively derived stan
dards and enforcement methods. It is crucial to remember that the essay is supported by empi
rical research which the respondents are business insiders and current trends. As a result, its c
onclusions ought to be trustworthy.

The second source, “Coworking Benefits: 5 Reasons You Should Try Coworking”(2020) The
essay emphasizes the adaptability and scalability of coworking spaces as well as their capacit
y to offer a formal setting for conducting business, enhance mental health, and stimulate creat
ivity. Although the article offers a helpful explanation of the advantages of coworking spaces,
it does not include any data to back up its assertions. The article is also posted on a website fo
r a coworking space provider, which could indicate a bias in favor of promoting coworking fa
cilities.

To conclude, the first source is supported by the survey in which the respondents have been
working in those workplaces that are similar to coworking spaces. Therefore, the first source i
s reliable to assert that coworking spaces can benefit the working efficiency. For the second s
ource, the article was authored by the founder of coworking space which may be biased in fa
vor of promoting coworking spaces. As a result, the validity of this source claim may therefor
e be questioned.

The results of these two sources imply that coworking spaces will improve the working envir
onment in employees' mental health, the effectiveness of their job, and the convenience they
bring. Large corporations like Facebook, Microsoft, IBM, Alibaba, and HSBC have included
coworking spaces into their work environments, indicating that these spaces will inevitably e
xist throughout the course of the next ten years. Therefore, in particular for the future, becaus
e of the unanticipated rise in technology, jobs like game developer, software engineer, and co
ntent creator will be in high demand. Because these jobs require collaboration among employ
ees, a comfortable working environment can encourage employees to come up with more cre
ative ideas. In conclusion, coworking spaces are good for the future working environment.
