Pros and Cons: How I feel about remote learning

It has been almost three years since Covid-19 began and not only my life`s been
affected, but the lives of all peoples. When Covid-19 started I was in the seventh
grade, but now I am the first year student of high school and a lot of things have
changed.
In the beginning, when the Covid-19 was just starting, we switched to online
classes and I thought it was great because I wouldn`t have to get up early and go
to school. My opinion, of course, changed pretty soon, because I got tired of
constantly spending time on my laptop, at home, all day. I didn`t have time to go
out, because we always had some homework. Also, the downside of the distance
learning is that the teachers weren`t able to explain everything to us as it used to
be the case in school. Before, they could teach us in the classroom. They would
take us out in front of the board and explain to us how to do some tasks. Now, it
is not that possible. There is also a very bad side of online school, and that is that
you start to drift away from friends you used to hang out with. You don`t have
time for each other, you don`t see each other, even though you used to be close.
At school we spent time together. Online lessons ruined it because those friends
made a new circle without a few of us. We slowly began to distance from one
another though we didn`t even notice it. So, remote learning destroys
friendships.When everything goes back to normal, it will be awkward watching
your ex-friends hang out without you being part of their group.
After all these really bad things that I mentioned, I can`t say that there are no
good ones. There, surely, are some benefits from online school. For example, one
good thing about it is that I have more time for myself. Since I have a lot of free
time, I somehow managed to use it wisely, and so I discovered that I can draw
houses nicely. Since then, I have been thinking of enrolling at the Faculty of
Architecture after leaving this secondary school. During my free time, I also
played some compositions that were not in my program while I was attending my
music school.
I truly wish we could go back to school normally, when we wouldn`t have to wear
masks and when the whole Covid-19 situation would finally end.
