Online Resource - Cybersecurity

My Details
Maxwell Cole, Student ID: 222293708
I chose the topic of cyber safety. I created a podcast/tutorial video, aimed to inform
people with the current issue of cybersecurity. The video was aimed towards non-
technical demographics who may struggle with modern security standards of
technology (Such as Parents, Elderly and kids).

Rationale
The topic I chose was cybersecurity. I got inspired to do this topic from videos on
YouTube that expose phone scams and reveal how many elderly Australians get
scammed out of their own hard-earned cash. Even though some of the victims within
the video needed the money for hospital bills etc, the scammers showed no remorse
and continued to manipulate them. I aimed my video to inform people on simple ways
they can be more secure on the internet. I used an app called ‘CapCut’ and I movie,
to cut, download and edit the video. The reference images I provided are from no-
copyright sources that allow public use of their images. To get easy examples of how
to be secure on the internet I went on the Australian Cyber Security Centre website
and found helpful tips that are easy to understand. I used my own phone and laptop
within my own video as examples when explaining something.

Reflection
Next time I need to have a better flow when discussing and talking to the camera.
More useful engaging information could have been used like statistics or images. I
also could have gone a lot further with my research. I think I did well in the sense
where I talked to easily convey my message for people to understand. I also provided
good examples of what a scam could look like, and how to avoid/fix the issue.
It would have been a lot better if I:
- Contacted a rights holder to a copy-right image, asking if I have approval to use
their image and inform them what for.
- Had someone else featured within it who had signed a consent form.
- Included an interview of someone who had fallen from the scam, showing how
the fell for it etc…
- Included water marks or links on a supporting document or website.
- Included more information on an accessible document
- At the end I could have provided clickable links to sites that help victims of
scams.
Permission Forms
In this section you should include details of photographic or video permission forms
you have obtained (eg you could include screen grabs or original documents cut and
