“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new

ending.” –
Maria Robinson

My equal respect to our active principal Ms. Andrica Edillo, and our adviser Ms. Myrna Ocat, and to our
faculties and staff a pleasant morning to all of us

Way back March 2020, when COVID-19 brought us to nightmare. Many people had died and suffered.
Many of us were devastated to the unprecedented global health crisis which led us to frustration. Many
of us cannot accept the swift transition of our educational system from face-to-face learning into
blended learning. Many of us were depressed about the situation. Many of us questioned the quality of
education we had. Many of us were hopeless to keep going and reach our dreams. Many of us were
battling mental health issues. But despite all of these cries and outbursts, we are still fighting for this
hard battle.

For the past 14 months, it is truly a roller-coaster for me. But still I have made it. We have made it. We
are here to celebrate the momentous occasion of our success. We have triumphed over barriers that we
often thought we would never get to pass.

Class of 2022, we all have dreams and goals so as aspirations of what the grand work of our lives may
lead once we bid goodbye to our dear alma mater, Libagon Academy Foundation Incorporated, may all
the memories and bags of learning we had in this institution be our guiding path to be the catalyst of
change, lovers of peace and living witnesses of God’s love.

Let’s pull back our sleeves of inhibition and fear and plant deep within the earth seeds born from our
collective ingenuity. Seeds of knowledge and truth. Seeds of community and love. Seeds of change and
while the sky may be clouded with uncertainty of our future, let’s tend our garden until the sun comes
out and our new world blossoms and blossoms with everything we have planted.

In behalf of Batch 2022, I am grateful and honored to be part of this remarkable history as I speak before
you. This would not be realized without the sacrifice and determination of our dearest teachers, the full-
support of our beloved parents, the cheers of my friends and classmates; “thank you” is not enough in
giving back all the good deeds you have taught and shared but I will make sure to compensate you all
with sweetest fruits of hard labor.

In these trying times, the struggles and distress had paid off. My fellow graduates, whichever direction
the wind may take us, always remember with God’s guidance and protection, we are lucky enough and
blessed for we have given great opportunities to grow to become better individuals amidst the global
pandemic.

Everyone, please tap your shoulders and repeat what I said, “You did a great job. You deserve an
around of applause and congratulations.”

Before I will end my speech, I will leave this quote which moves my heart that says “Your journey has
molded you for your greater good, and it was exactly what it needed to be. Don’t think that you have
lost time. It took each and every situation you have encountered to bring you to the now. And now is
right on time.” By Asha Tyson.

Once again, congratulations everyone. Thank you so much. God bless and keep safe.
