 The gauges shall have a scale range suitable for the
blowing pressure.
 The equipment / pipe line being Air blowing shall be
properly supported to withstand the force resulting from the
blowing. Where necessary, temporary supports shall be
erected prior to blowing.
 Checklist of air blowing shall be prepared and signed by
executor
 Air blowing crew shall not stay in the direction of blind film,
operating valve prevent them from injuries once film
rapture.
 Ensure that all persons working in the area are wearing Ear
protection (ear muff / Ear plugs).
 Barricade 25 mtr radius shall be done from rupture point.

 Locked wall scaffold frame to be provided on the hit area of


the blowing to prevent projectile velocity flying away.
 Communication shall be maintained between the
compressor operator and blowing in charge who is
assigned at inlet and out let point during test.
 Pressure will not exceed more than 2 bar as per the method
statement.
 Ensure the person involve in Air blowing are fully aware of
all emergency response procedure in case of mishap.
 Clamps, bolts on bolted flanges, screwed connections shall
not be loosened or tightened while the pressure equipment is
under pressure
 Keep minimum man power at site.
 Ensure all tools are good condition.
 The perimeter of the Air blowing area should be barricaded
with sign boards (English and Arabic language) and restrict
the access to the work area.
 Simultaneously operation of works at the surrounding area
is not allowed near the blowing location.
 All existing facilities should be adequately covered at the
vicinity of blow point to prevent dust.
 All waste to be placed in plastic bags and to be placed in
skip on return to the temporary facilities area
 Hoses shall be secured properly to the nearby structures.

the maximum pressure during gross air leak gest. The
maximum pressure shall be up to 7 barg or the line
operating pressure which ever is less.
9. The Area shall be barricaded up to 25 meters radius and
warning sign boards will be provided and only authorized
personnel will be allowed to work inside the area.
