Modern forms of organization
01 Hierarchical org structure
• A hierarchical system resembling a pyramid, with one person in command
and one or more subordinates reporting to them.
• The chain of command goes from the top (e.g., the CEO or manager) down
(e.g., entry-level and low-level employees), and each employee has a
supervisor.

02 Functional org structure

• Line-staff organisation is a system in which authorities (for example,
managers) create goals and orders that are then carried out by staff and other
workers.
• However, personnel are mostly arranged in accordance with their unique
skills and the relevant role inside the organisation.
03 Horizontal or flat org structure
• Organizational structures that are horizontal or flat work well in businesses
where there are few levels between higher management and staff-level
employees.
• When three managers are in charge, a large group of employees can be
efficiently supervised and controlled at once.

04 Divisional org structure

• The divisional organisational structure of a business arranges its activities
into geographical area or based on product and service categories.
• This organisational structure is effective for big businesses because it allows
different departments to take charge of their own decisions without having to
answer to a small group of leaders.
05 Matrix org structure

• A matrix structure is a hybrid of two or more organisational structures.

• It is a way of organisingan organization in such a way that reporting
relationships are set up as a grid or matrix rather than in the usual hierarchy.

06 Network org structure

• A networlding organisation is built around a central organisation that has
relationships and arrangements with other organisations to perform functions
such as design, manufacturing marketing, and so on for the central organisation
on a contractual basis.
• A network organizational structure , which is constructed around relationship
between organisation inside the network .
