LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (VIRTUAL)
CHAPTER I
I. INTRODUCTION
Virtual Library is another kind of Digital Library which provides portal to
information that is available electronically elsewhere. To become an effective
educational tool in the public service, it must respond to the needs of and provide
affordable access for prospective users - students, teachers, researchers, and
academics. ICT-based access to digital publications, distance education materials,
efficient delivery of information, communication and collaboration, and lifelong
learning opportunities.
In modern era, libraries are playing role in two parts- first is physical and
second is virtual. Library users are demanding virtual library as well as a physical
library because of their learning demands can be fulfilled by virtual libraries. Virtual
library planning and designing can provide a rich learning environment.
The Virtual Library appears to offer substantial benefits to lifelong learners
over both formal study and conventional open learning. Virtual lectures provide an
advanced interactive learning tool with distinct advantages in terms of engagement
and flexibility. Students benefited from the interactivity of the environment and its
self-assessment facilities. They also welcomed being able to study in their own
location, time and at their own pace. The virtual lectures have several advantages
including interactivity, adaptation, simulation, demonstration and integration.
The efficient graphic user interface, digital imagery, and rapid text transfer
and storage that characterize the digital age are posing significant problems for
libraries. Some of the complex difficulties facing libraries in the digital age include
data privacy, copyrights, and information security. In Modern Libraries Numerous
issues plague school libraries, including ongoing financial issues, a lack of competent
librarians to operate the library, a substandard collection, and subpar facilities.
In our Virtual Library many Students and teachers can have many benefits
but one of our customer issues that some of our story related are limited and that is
one of our problems because we do not want to copyright our virtual library so we
provide many stories that you can read but its limited. Users may face difficulties
accessing digital library due to information overload, poor interface, misleading
information, computer viruses, lack of standardization, degrading properties,
different display standards, and radiation.

development begins is described in the input box. The materials that will be
used to construct the system are the system requirements inside the input
box. The elements that the user or the study's subject may need to use the
developed system, on the other hand, are known as the user requirements. In
addition, the system must meet security and user interface standards. The
project planning, or the step-by-step procedure to be followed in the creation
of the system, is shown in the center box. This results in the completion of the
project output, which is shown in the third box. The IT or System Developers
will evaluate the system after it is created to determine its viability and
acceptance.

I. Significance Of The Study

This study is conducted to benefit the following.

IT or system developers - They are experts concerning

system development. This project may help them for future
reference.
Administrator – They are the one who organize the books. This
project can help them easy to organize book by updating the system
Readers – It can help them not to waste time going to a library
and its easy for them to read they want to read
Librarian – The one that manage books it can help them
because in our system all are books are organize and they only
need to search for the books and it will show up to the screen
Researchers – Future Students may use this research for
reference or RRL.
II. SCOPE AND DELIMITATIONS
Scope
 All users should be able to easily and clearly conduct searches on
the system.
 Librarians should be able to quickly and easily locate any book,
journal, catalog, etc. via the system.
 The system could aid students in developing their knowledge, skills,
and overall well-being.
 The system can recommend a book.
 The system ought to set restrictions on how many books can be
checked out and how many days a book may be kept for.
Delimitations
• If you want to change your account's password, you must have admin
approval because the information is private.
• it is merely used for searching, borrowing and returning.
• we don't lend books to those who wish to borrow a lot of books at
once.
I. DEFINITION OF TERMS
Admin - refers to the one who access the system or website.
Bug - refers to a coding error in a computer program.
Developer - refers to builds computer applications by writing, debugging, and
nsexecuting the source of code in a computer application.
Devices - refers to Laptops and Computers, A mechanical and electrical device used
to do purposes.
Secure - refers to protecting critical information from unauthorized access in our
system
System - refers to software and hardware components or programs that run in the
computer.
Library – refers to a room containing collection of books
HTML AND CSS – refers to a language that we are going to use to our system

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES
Library and function The study is anchored from the thermotical
support of the A Dendrochronology program library in R by
Andrew G Bunn (2008) it focused on progamming environment
and how program library is able to standard decadal - formal files
and allow user to perform several standard analyses including
interactive detrending, chronology -the difference in our system is
that our system prevent the user to contribute several standard
such as analyses the to our system is that you only need an
account to maintain the library you're reading

On and users' opinions of it in the context of Indian libraries, and

it assesses the degree of satisfaction of Indian library professionals
with Koha. It has been discovered that the program is well-liked in
India's southern states and that the country has an increasing
number of Koha users. -Unlike our digital library it develops an
easy way that can be seen if the reader is connected or sign up to
our account the basis of our study is that u only need an internet
to read our system while Koha needed a assess degree features to
make things complicated

management system in India Virmal kumal V, S Jasimudeen (2012)
In the study it develops the libraries is progressing. And it quickly
became well-liked by the user community thanks to its
outstanding features This study gives a brief overview of the Koha
software adopt Another study entitled "University libraries: step
towards a web-based knowledge" (2010) Web based knowledge
management systems have opened new arrays in the present
web-based world. Because of innumerable features, they have
become the first-hand choice of every organization. The objective
of this paper is to propose a web-based knowledge management
system for university libraries that will support the creation,
organization, storage, dissemination, and utilization of the
institution's digital knowledge assets. The paper also aims to
illustrate the requirements of a web-based knowledge
management system -The digital content in our digital library may
truly reflect a much superior level of knowledge, and it supports
students. The library management system can be used anywhere
if you have an internet connection and any nearby devices.

As a student we need to go to the library to borrow books to make

our assignment or to search our topics in our lesson and it is
hassle to go their sometimes I lost my library card so I can`t go to
the library to borrow a book. library is good because it's quiet and
clean and someone supervises the library, but it's also a bit
difficult because sometimes the books I want to borrow are
borrowed or there are books with missing pages but all in all its
quite good. As ICT students we motivate to make a system that
can help the students and teachers to make it easy to them to
access a book or story books. it motivates me to read, because it is
very comfortable you only need to log in and you will get tons of
free books and i also feel that there is a need to develop an online
virtual library system.
CHAPTER III
Project Design
To operate the system that is proposed, the system
developers must adhere to certain requirements or specifications,
including:
Laptop / Computers
This device will be used to construct the virtual library
management system.
HTML&CSS

The programming language we will use to create the

interface and the functions of the virtual library management
system.
Basic programming skills
The knowledge we needed to create the functions of
the virtual library management system.

To develop the Virtual Library Management System,

these are the different sub-system requirements to be
integrated:
Login System – To verify their identity through a set of credentials,
typically a username and password.

User Management System – Making this system allows the user to

read freely according to the customer’s request.

Setting System – To make the customers more comfortable with their

preferences.
Project Development
Testing and Procedures
This are the steps to test our system and procedures.

1. First you must go to our website and find the Virtual Lib-
rary Management System.
2. Then Log in your account if you don`t have account you
can just sign to our sign in system you js to fill p you in-
formation.
3. You must type you correct password and if you forgot the
account you can just click the forgot password and some
admin can entertain you.
4. After you log in you can now access to our system and you
can now find the books that you want to read.
5. You just need to click the book that you choose to read
6. Next you can go the setting to operate you preference
font, dark or light and terms of service
7. If you have concern you ask to the terms of service
8. If you don`t have amny concern you now relax and read
the books you choose.
9. After you read you just need to log out and close our web-
site

Evaluation Procedure
 We are going to ask some of the student and teachers by giving
them form or comment to answer if our system is good or you
can rate that our system is helpful to you so that we can determ-
ine if we need more to improve our system so that we can apply
them to our system
