1. Green Economy and Energy Transition

The world is in a shift towards a greener economic model to ensure sustainable growth
while protecting the Earth's environment. The energy sector is a vital part to be addressed as it
is currently a major emitter. For the same reason, the current economic model that
significantly relies on fossil fuel will face a massive challenge shifting itself away from its
conventional energy source without disrupting the economy.

1) What policies need to be in place to ensure that ASEAN could shift towards a green
economy while ensuring the welfare of its people?
2) What are the best practices that ASEAN could adopt to accelerate its green economy
transition?
3) What can ASEAN and its member states do to integrate youth in the region's effort to
shift towards the green economy and to propel energy transition?

2. Future of Education and Work

The young generation needs to harness skills and elevate capability before entering the
productive workforce. However, problems such as discrimination towards disabilities,
disruption to job market, and limitation on education access persist within society and hinder
conducive working environments. It is critical to consider current limitations and bring
solutions to the table to tackle the challenges in improving talent and narrowing existing gaps.

1) What policies need to be proposed to eliminate gaps in the education and workplace
sector?
2) How can ASEAN member states facilitate capacity building and technology mobilization
amidst the rapid growth and global dynamics?
3) What can ASEAN and its member states do to involve youth in enabling them to be a

3. Digital Inclusion and Literacy

The digital economy in Southeast Asia remains on track despite major macroeconomic
headwinds (pandemic period). The ASEAN status quo as a hotspot of the digital economy is
also supported by its digitally-connected population. By 2025, it is projected that the majority
of ASEAN citizens will be able to utilize advanced technology both in personal and
professional realms or so called “digital native”. Harnessing youth preparedness to become
the essential driver in maximizing ASEAN’s digital economy should be considered at the first
place. Moreover, the proliferation of startups also complement the current trends of the digital
economy where there are more than 6,000 startups existed with several leading sectors such as
logistics, edtech, healthtech, transportation, e-commerce, travel, and fintech. Although the
market conditions are in place to put the startups for success, but the growth and resiliency of
startups is still uncertain due to lack of financing access in the region.

1) What kind of policies are suitable for ASEAN member states in improving the current
status quo to harness the digital telent amongst the population?
2) How can talent mobilization could synergize with the catalyze transfer of technological
know-how and innovation?
3) What can ASEAN member states and cross-sectoral stakeholders do to involve youth in
becoming strong digital talents and improving access to financing for startups built by
youth itself?

4. Food Security

Food is a basic human right. However recent geopolitical tensions that cause supply chain
disruption, climate change with its impact on agriculture productivity, and the pandemic that
closes the border and decreases household incomes all collide to unprecedented challenges.
Those multidimensional problems hindered food accessibility for the society, pushing 122.6
million population to hunger. Hence, the topic has become more than relevant where the
current dynamics become the challenge to achieve a well-nourished society.

population?

multidimentional causes of food insecurity and ensuring sustainable food productivity
and accessibility?

the region?

5. Health

Health is the foundation of the society's well-being. Access to healthcare has become one
of the most important issues that covers the delivery of medicine, vaccine, treatment, health
workers, clinics, and other facilities to support the sustainability of a population. On the other
side, these facilities have become a privilege with a portion of the population are left behind.
Hence, it is imperative to ensure that everyone, regardless of the circumstances have adequate
access to support their well-being.

1) What kind of policies needs to be implemented in ensuring access to health infrastructure

to everyone?
2) How can the ASEAN member states ensure health infrastructure accessible by vulnerable
