I really enjoyed reading your discussion post! I agree, many people dont take their diabetes seriously.

Interestingly enough, a lot of people think that diabetes is caused just from sugar, however that is not
the case. Not sure if you've seen a netflix documentary called "What the Health". If not, its a must see.
It definitely changed my perspective on a lot of health issues. 

Enough 1:1 time with your provider will ultmately make each experience better, lesser office visits,
emergency room visits, and happier patients! They will also be less confiused. Because of how
payments are made and how powerful doctors are in politics, the healthcare market works like a
monopoly or oligopoly that is mostly run by doctors. The power of this job and the value of a doctor's
time have never been as high as they are now. One study found that between 1992 and 1995, the
amount of time that almost half of American doctors spent with their patients went down (Rhodes,
McFarland, Finch, & Johnson, 2001).
