Points regarding Feeder Bus Service Linking MRT Line 6 with BRT

The following points are to be noted regarding linking the BRT and MRT Line-6
with a feeder bus service:
 Several private bus services are already operating along the proposed
preliminary route.
 Non-motorized vehicles use the same proposed route, a context which is not
convenient to a feeder bus service.
 Traffic congestion is common at the two major intersections along the route,
one being the Janapath Intersection and the other being the Housebuilding
intersection. Introduction of new feeder bus service may further intensify the
congestion.
 It is not still evident when the BRT service will commence and how it will
operate.
 Any decision of introduction of new feeder bus will necessitate
comprehensive feasibility and demand analysis.
 A feeder bus service will require dedicated land space for its terminal station
and spaces for ticket counter at intermediate stops.
 Parking of buses at intermediate stops may add to the existing traffic
congestion.
 At present, as there is no foot over-bridge along the route, pedestrian
jaywalk across the road which is again, a context unfavourable to a feeder
bus service.
