Roku Creative QC SOP

ROKU: A Streaming Platform/Smart TV where multiple OTT platforms are being


streamed. Example: Peacock, Netflix.

Needed Console/Tool:
1. Freewheel
2. Translator

Creative QC Processes:

● Step 1: Open Freewheel, Go to Partner TAB. Click on the Creative Approvals


section. Then go to Private Platform Creatives -> “Partner Tag” level.

● Step 2: Select Rejected Creatives option under Creatives filter. We will only
work in Rejected Creatives.
● Step 3: Find a creative without any Notes. Fill up Internal Approval Notes with
“Your Name’s Initial - Working Date - Submitted” (RR - 4/19/22 - Submitted)
& click on Update Notes. It means the creative is being occupied.

Always Open a new tab by Duplicating to work on New Creative. Never refresh
the current working tab.

● Step 4: Open Inline VAST Tag link. We only need the URL. If the link is blank,
Flag to NBCU.

● Step 5: Next move to Translator/TACT to QC the VAST Tags. Create your own
Filter. Choose “Created by” is “Last Name First Name Initial” (Rashid R).
This filter stores all your works.
● Step 6: To open “Create Work Order”, click on the Blue Plus button. Select
“PMP 1: Many” for ORDER DEAL TYPE.

● Step 7: On “CAMPAIGN INFORMATION” level ->

=> AE should be “Alexander Paige”, Vertical should be ‘Peacock“.

=> For Global Advertiser Search go to FW (Freewheel), choose Partner Tag


Ad Brand.
For Global Industry Search choose Partner Tag Ad Industry->Industry
Group. Hit the Save button.

○ If any of them can not be found in campaign information, use “Test Test”
for Global Advertiser & “Testing Laboratories” for Global Industry.

○ If Partner Tag Ad Brand & Partner Tag Ad Industry are blank in FW,
Watch the creative to determine the brand & industry. After being
confirmed, Sebpo can either update industry groups & ad brands on
creative by clicking the blue edit button or can notify NBCU through
creativeqc@nbcuni.com

● Step 8: On “TAG INFORMATION” level ->

=> Creative Name = “Roku: MPP: Partner Tag ID: Creative Duration:
Submission Date”. Search Partner Tag Ad ID & Duration in Creatives.

=> Start Date = Working Date / Submission Date

=> End Date = End of Year (Example: 12/31/2022)

=> Tag Unique ID = PartnerTag Ad ID.

=> Tags = Go to Inline VAST Tag link, copy paste the URL.

At last, Hit Create Order & wait for TACT Results. If the result takes more than
two hours, inform Ad Smart alias.

Roku Creative Status Sheet Processes:

● Step 1: If Tag’s result is PASS, review creative. If the creative is okay, review
Industry.
○ For Industry of concern:
=> Change Approval Notes in FW to “Initials Date - Industry Review”
(RR 04/19/22 - Industry Review).

=> Based on the Industry & Brand (Example:Alcohol, e-cigarette), add the
creative either in Standards Review or Failed Reasoning TAB in the
Roku Creative Status sheet.

○ For No Industry of concern:


=> Change Approval Notes in FW to “Initials Date - PASS” (RR 04/19 -
PASS) & Approve the creative.

● Step 2: If Tag’s result is FAIL, view failed reasons from the icon besides FAIL in
Tact. Go to Wiki->

○ Left side Green Errors (CAN BE IGNORED, approve the creative).


○ Right side Orange Errors (CAN’T BE IGNORED, document in Failed
Reasoning TAB in the Roku Creative Status sheet.)

● FAILED REASONING TAB


○ Fill out the columns -> Partner Tag ID, Date, Ad Brand, Inline VAST link,
TACT link (Hit Creative Name to copy the URL), TACT Failed Reasons
(Copy each error & paste them in each Fail column)

● STANDARD REVIEWS TAB


○ Fill out the columns -> Partner Tag ID, Date, Ad Brand, Inline VAST URL.

★ After needed documentation, Update the Required Notes & Hit Update Notes
button to finish the task.
