Script:

Act 1:

Scene 1: The hotel lobby

John: Good afternoon, everyone. I hope you're all enjoying your stay here at the hotel.

Kevin: Yes, everything has been great so far.

Jane: Agreed. The room is clean, and the staff has been friendly.

Sarah: I'm glad to hear that. If any of you need any assistance with local tours or
activities, please don't hesitate to ask.

Michael: Actually, I was wondering about the safety of the tours. Are they all properly
supervised?

Sarah: Of course. We take safety very seriously here. All of our tours are guided by
experienced professionals who are trained to ensure your safety at all times.

Scene 2: Outside the hotel

Kevin, Jane, and Michael are taking a walking tour with Sarah.

Sarah: Now, this path can be a bit slippery, so please be careful.

Michael slips and falls.

Michael: Ouch! I think I've hurt my ankle.

Sarah: Oh no! Are you okay?

Michael: I'm not sure. It really hurts.

Jane: Is there a doctor nearby?

Sarah: Yes, there's a clinic just a few blocks away. I'll take you there.

Scene 3: The hotel lobby

John: What happened? Is everything okay?

Sarah: Michael slipped and fell during the tour. I took him to the clinic.

Peter: That's terrible. Was it because of the tour guide's negligence?

Sarah: No, it was just an accident. The path was slippery, and Michael didn't watch his
step.

Maria: But shouldn't the tour guide have warned him about the slippery path?

Sarah: I did warn them, but accidents can still happen.

Act 2:

Scene 1: The hotel lobby

Alex: Excuse me, I'm looking for John. I'm a lawyer representing Michael.

John: I'm John, the hotel manager. How can I help you?

Alex: Michael has suffered a serious injury, and he believes it's due to the hotel's
negligence.

John: I'm sorry to hear that, but I don't see how we're responsible for his injury.

Alex: Michael claims that the tour guide didn't provide adequate warning about the
slippery path.
John: That's not true. The tour guide did warn them.

Alex: Do you have any documentation to support that?

John: I'll check with the tour guide and see if she documented the warning.

Scene 2: The courtroom

Emma: I have reviewed the evidence presented by both parties, and I have come to a
decision. While the hotel and tour guide did take steps to warn Michael about the
slippery path, it is clear that he also had a responsibility to watch his step and take
appropriate precautions. Therefore, I find that the hotel and tour guide are not fully
liable for Michael's injury, but they are partially responsible due to contributory
negligence.

Alex: Thank you, Your Honor.

John: We will ensure that our staff continues to take all necessary precautions to ensure
the safety of our guests.

Sarah: And I will make sure to document all warnings in the future to protect the hotel
and our guests.
