Police 1 : Good Evening, Sidney Police 2 Station. Can I help you?
Woman : Oh hello, I’d like to report a stolen briefcase please.
Police 1 : Just a minute, i'll put you through.

Police 2 : Lost property, can I help you?
Woman : Oh yes. I’ve had my briefcase stolen.
Police 2 : Okay, I’ll take some details. First of all tell me what it looks like?
Woman : Well, it’s a soft leather one, it do not heavy box type like a man.
Police 2 : How is it close?
Woman : It’s got buckles at the front, two of them, they’re gold plated one.
Police 2 : Fine, was it locked?
Woman : No, I’m afraid not.
Police 2 : Never mind, any distinguishing features?
Woman : Pardon?
Police 2 : Any marks or badges on it and it makes it stand out?
Woman : Only the brand name.
Police 2 : And where is that?
Woman : It’s on the back at the bottom in the left hand corner it’s SAGI, oh and there is a
scratch, it’s quite bad but small, directly above the brand name. I did it recently putting it on
my bike.
Police 2 : Right got that, so what did you have inside your briefcase?
Woman : Well, all my papers from college. I had my wallet in my pocket, so I didn’t lose it.
Police 2 : Right, where exactly did you lose the briefcase?
Woman : Well, I couldn’t believe it, I was standing on the platform, it was right next to me.
Police 2 : You were holding it?
Woman : I just put it down on the floor, but I could almost feel it beside me, I was looking
for my train and the next second my briefcase wasn’t there.
Police 2 : And what time was it?
Woman : Ah, it was, must’ve been about five thirty (5.30).
Police 2 : Right, if you’d come down to the station tomorrow you can sign this form and have
a look at what we’ve got here.
Woman : Okay thanks, bye.

“What facilities has your town got?”

Francis : In Bournemouth there is a beautiful beach, a lot of shops, parks, and cinemas.
Alison : I’m from Birmingham and there are a lot of shops, a museum, there’s a big new
library, and there are some really great parks.
John: I’m from Bristol in England, and in my town there are restaurants, cafes, hotels, parks,
there’s a cinema, and there are a lot of shops.
Susie: I am from Glasgow and Glasgow has everything. There are restaurants, shops,
cinemas, theatres, there’s beautiful park, and a fantastic museum.
Rebecca : In Manchester there is a big shopping center, there is a large old museum and there
is a beautiful art gallery.

“Describe a hotel you know.”

Francis: I know hotel in Dali, it has a swimming pool, a lift, and the restaurant.
Alison: I really like a hotel, that’s in Istanbul and it’s a really old hotel, each room is got
a balcony, and really beautiful bathroom.
John: My favorite hotel is the Empire Hotel in Brunei and I love it, it’s so beautiful big hotel,
there’s a golf course, there are swimming pools, there is one very big swimming pool, there’s
a beautiful beach, there are many restaurant, each room has a big bed, big bathroom, a safe,
and a balcony.
Susie: I love the hotel PortAventura in Salou, in Spain, each room has got wifi, a television,
and a big bed, it has got three swimming pools, and there are three restaurants.
Rebecca: I know hotel in Germany, it has a large swimming pool, and each room has a
balcony, it’s also has newspaper everyday, and free wifi.
