CARDIOGRAPH SECTION

1. The cardio cuff when attached to the right arm of a subject transmit impulse from the brachial
artery.
2. The pump bulb assembly inflates the system and a hose connects the blood pressure cuff through
which blood pressure changes and passed into the recording unit.
3. The vent valves provides the means by which air in the system can be released.
4. The main centering knob is provided for adjusting the tracing so that the blood pressure pattern
would be on the guideline.
5. Sphygmomanometer gauge is used to measure the air pressure in mmHg. It is consists of a watch-
like movement to measure the air pressure applied to the cuff.
6. Cardio pen is recorded the systolic stroke and diastolic stroke.

PNEUMOGRAPH SECTION

1. Corrugated rubber tubes (or electronic sensors) placed over the examinee's chest and abdominal
area will record respiratory activity.
2. Vent for opening and closing is used to release excess pressure from the system.
