- Information about questions with do and does -

Do – I, we, you, the.

Does – He, she, it.

We used this with present simple of:

-daily routines, habits, regular activities, hobbies, occupations.

Function of the Wh words.

What – ask for a thing or action. – What sports do you practice?

Where – ask for a place or position. – Where do you watch the matches?

When – ask for time. – When do you go on vacation?

Who – ask for a person. – Who teaches you English? – is more common to use who + verb/action

Why – ask for a reason. – Why do you drink water?

How - ask for a manner or a description. – How do you go to school? - How do you feel?

Which – ask for things in a selection – Which Nuevo Leon team do you prefer? – you give less
options to select.

Whom – ask for a person (in another context) – Whom do you love?

What time – ask for time (hours) – What time do you usually go to sleep?

How much – ask for quantity (uncountable nouns) – How much money do you have?

How many – ask for quantity (countable nouns) – How many classes do you take a week?

How long – ask for time (period of time) – How long does it take from your house to your school?

How often – ask for frequency of an action – How often do you go to the movies? – or used how
frequently/normally
