Synopsis for Thesis topics:

4. Type of project and Scope of project: All projects taken shall be live
projects and type of project should be as per the general building types as
referred to in the NBC (institutional, commercial, mercantile, educational,
recreational etc). The scope of the project should identify the focus of
design – layout/planning oriented like campuses, services oriented like
hospitals, environmentally conscious design oriented, industrial design
oriented, sustainable design oriented like resorts, health clubs, etc. The aim
is to generate an initial design focus.

5. Site information - Indicating area, approach roads, north direction,

levels/contours, land use and surroundings (Please attach a copy of the
authentic site plan.)
6. Spatial requirements – Block areas of all major spaces as provided by the
client or self analyzed to help finalize project design scope.

7. Relevant case studies - State 3 names of case studies with a brief

overview of each.
