CHAPTER 4: RESULTS

3.0 Full Data Set

Throughout the three days of observation, a total of 153 observation of behaviours were
recorded. The behaviour that is exhibited the most by the mynaa are scouting, followed by
resting and skipping. Table 1 shows the percentage for each behaviour exhibited by mynaa
throughout the study.

Figure 1. Showing frequency of behaviour exhibited by Mynaa by the type of behaviour

exhibited.

Based on Table 1 and Figure 1, it can be seen that the behaviour of scouting has highest
percentage (21.62%), followed by resting (18.92%) and skipping (16.21%). Meanwhile,
interaction within species is the least exhibited behaviour at only 1.31%. Singing, flying up and
flying down were moderately exhibited with 13.07%, 11.11%, 9.15% respectively. Meanwhile,
foraging and eating all total up to 6.54% and 3.92% respectively.
